It appears the wiseguys are liking the well-rested home teams this coming NFL Divisional weekend with the Falcons, Patriots and Chiefs getting the majority of the early money at offshore sportsbooks. Let’s take a look at these early playoffs’ sides moves and see if there’s a pick worth consideration.

Saturday, January 14, 2017—Divisional Round

Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons

Open: Falcons -3½
Monday Night: Falcons -4½ (5Dimes)

A 1-point move so far on the NFL odds board on early, sharp Falcons money in this NFC Divisional showdown from Atlanta with the consensus Monday evening revealing Atlanta getting 59.7% of the tickets written and 72.3% offshore action ($52K-$20K).

The total’s been bet up from 49 to 51½ likely because of the expected quick pace Falcons QB Matt Ryan (37-33-2 ATS Home) and the Atlanta Offense (33.8 ppg, #1 Scoring) are expected to set on the friendly FieldTurf Classic HD playing surface in the climate-controlled environs of their Georgia Dome. Also, don't forget the Falcons (3-5 ATS Home) have that week’s rest.

Julio Jones and Atlanta lost to Richard Sherman and the Seahawks when these two met in Seattle in Week 6 but covered as 6½-point underdogs, 26-24 (45½).

Houston Texans vs New England Patriots

Open: Patriots -15½
Monday Night: Patriots -16 (BetOnline)

A small move up on Sharp Patriots money in this AFC matchup and no wonder after Tom Brady and New England shut out Houston, 27-0 in Week 3 here at Gillette Stadium (FieldTurf).

The early consensus reveals the Patriots getting 55% of the bets and 81% of the cash ($88K-$20K), dispelling any myth the Wiseguys won’t lay lumber (Average NE bet size, $173, Houston, $50). The Total’s stayed near its Opening 44½.

Sunday, January 15, 2017—Divisional Round

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs

Open: Steelers -1
Monday Night: Chiefs -2 -108 (5Dimes)

The Sharps—and maybe questions about Ben Roethlisberger’s ankle and Chiefs HC Andy Reid (37-30 ATS) success after Byes—have flipped the opening favorite here from Pittsburgh to host Kansas City in thus AFC matchup from Arrowhead Stadium (Grass) with the spread hitting (KC minus) 3 for a moment Monday. The Total’s been bet down from 46½ to as low as 44 with bettors possibly thinking Kansas City and its solid Defense (19.4 ppg, #7 NFL) can keep the prolific Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, and Pittsburgh in check.

The Chiefs are 0-4 ATS L4 Home Playoff and L4 Divisional Playoff games while the Playoff-savvy Steelers are 20-7-2 ATS L29 Road vs.Home Teams with Winning Records. The Sharps might have this one wrong.

Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys

Open: Cowboys -4
Monday: Cowboys -4½ -107 (5Dimes)

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had seen 58% of the wagers and 81% of the money (Average GB bet size, $134, Dallas, $23) in this marquee NFC matchup despite Packers WR Jordy Nelson’s (Ribs) being a question mark.
