Seahawks vs. Rams Week 15 Picks: Rams Look To Win With COVID Issues

The Seahawks and Rams are set for a massive NFC West showdown that could determine a great deal in the NFC playoff race. We'll break down the betting matchup with our Seahawks and Rams picks.
Editor's note: The Seahawks vs. Rams game was pushed back to Tuesday, Dec. 21, due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Seattle Seahawks are only 5-8 but have started to trend in the right direction over the last two weeks as Russell Wilson has become healthier. They must continue to win if they want to make the final NFC wildcard spot.
Meanwhile, the Rams shocked everyone in their 30-23 upset of Arizona. Suddenly, the Rams' star-studded roster played up to their potential. The question is whether their 6-7 against the spread record will turn positively to help bettors and if they can get clarity with their COVID-19 situation.
Here are my picks and predictions for the NFL Week 15 matchup between the Seahawks and Rams (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a one-to-five-star scale).

Seahawks vs. Rams Odds Analysis
The Rams opened as seven-point favorites, and the market has quickly changed since then. The line dropped to Rams -4.5 at various prices across sportsbooks. The Rams are coming off a convincing win against the Arizona Cardinals, so the number dropping has to do with the COVID list. It rose back to 5.5 points when the game was pushed back to Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the total has dipped a little bit from 48 to 45 or 45.5 depending on the sportsbook. This is the correct direction, and I think it could stand to go down even a few more points.

Seahawks vs. Rams Predictions
Rams -4.5 (-110)
A whopping 11 Rams players have entered COVID protocols thus far, clearly impacting the line here. Three starters on the offense are currently out, while two on their 15th ranked defense in terms of yards per game are out. Odell Beckham, Jordan Fuller, and Jalen Ramsey are notable absences as of now.
I believe the drop in the spread is a perfect opportunity to jump on the Rams. As nice as the Seahawks' last two games have been, this is a big step up in competition against a Rams team that beat them by nine in Week 5.
I don't think Seattle can put on a dominant showing as they did against San Francisco two weeks ago. The Rams are frustratingly inconsistent, but I believe 4.5 points is a bargain price. I'm attacking this line with full confidence.
Under 45 (-110)
Both teams are coming off two explosive offensive performances. The Seahawks scored 33 points last week against the Houston Texans, and the Rams put up 30 on the Cardinals. It's likely as the divisional competition ramps up, the scoring slows. Seattle, even when their defense has surrendered a lot of passing yards, bends without breaking as they have the seventh-best red zone scoring percentage over the last three games. The Rams are without their second-best receiver for now in OBJ.
Seattle has gone Under in eight of their last 11 games, and these two have gone Under in four of their last five matchups. 11 of the Rams' last 14 home games have gone Under. Everything here is pointing towards taking the Under, but I wouldn't go lower than 45 if the total dips again with more absences.
