We break down the NFL odds for the 16 game slate that Week 14 offers. Join in on the fun and find out our early NFL picks to start crashing the books this week.

Week 14 of the NFL Regular Season offers up some pretty solid matchups among the 16 games, but it’s Thursday’s lidlifter from University of Phoenix Stadium in the Sonoran Desert between Teddy Bridgewater and the Minnesota Vikings and Carson Palmer and the host Arizona Cardinals that looks to be the most compelling matchup. Let’s look at all 16 games this coming week, with current Monday afternoon NFL odds, Injuries, series Trends and last results as well as anything else worth chirping about on the American professional gridiron this coming week as the Postseason nears. And as always, seemingly the cherry on top of all game preview stories, a couple of NFL picks for those interested.

Thursday, December 10, 2015
Minnesota Vikings vs. Arizona Cardinals -7½, 46 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings (8-4 SU, 9-3 ATS head to the Sonoran Desert and University of Phoenix Stadium to face the Arizona Cardinals (10-2 SU, 7-5 ATS) in a huge NFC inter-divisional primetime showdown from suburban Phoenix (Glendale) on Thursday Night Football. When these two teams last met, the Vikings won and covered at Home in 2011 as 3-point favorites, 34-10, while in the last meeting here in Glendale, the Cardinals won outright as 3½-point underdogs, 30-17. Minnesota has been a very strong Under (9-1-1) team this season, but trying to stop Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and Downtown John Brown (6 Receptions 113 yards, 18.8 ypc on Win Sunday at Rams) on their Home turf will take some doing, although the loss of RB Chris Johnson (Fractured Tibia, On Injured-Reserve List until-if Cardinals make Super Bowl) gives Arizona one less weapon in its deep and speedy Offensive arsenal. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook NFL Games of the Year opened this game at Cardinals -5 here while the Advanced line from the same sportsbook here in Sin City last week opened the Cardinals at -6 on its unique Advanced Line, so you can see positive perceptions of this Arizona team still growing slowly. Smart oddsmakers. The Vikings are 4-4 SU and 4-3 ATS on Thursday Nights while Patrick Peterson and the Cardinals are 1-4 SU, 1-4 ATS and 0-2 ATS here at Home on Thursday evenings. This one seems like a good Over (45, Bookmaker) with Minnesota mad and now maybe a bit desperate after being stifled by the Seahawks on Sunday in Minneapolis and Palmer and his many weapons very capable of scoring 30+ against a sound Defensive and a heavy Under (9-2-1) team like the Vikings.

Free NFL Picks: Cardinals -7 (Sky Bet), Over 45 (Bookmaker)

Sunday, December 13, 2015
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals -3, 49 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals (10-2 SU, 9-1-2 ATS) play host to Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5 SU, 6-4-2 ATS) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati this Sunday afternoon for what would normally be a huge AFC North showdown, except that the Bengals have been Rude Boys and run away with the division. Still a big game for the Steelers in terms of fighting for a Wild Card spot and maybe for Cincinnati for a possible Home-field edge throughout the AFC Playoffs with the wounded Patriots slipping. When these two met at Heinz Field earlier this season, the Bengals won outright, 16-10 in a Pick ‘Em situation. The Steelers are 3-1 ATS the L3 meetings in this series and 4-1 ATS the L5 here at Home against Cincinnati in Pittsburgh. With both winning last weekend and the visitors from The Steel City needing the game more than AJ Green and the host Bengals, it seems like a lot of points will be scored.

Free NFL Pick: Over 212.5

Buffalo Bills PK, 47 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook) vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo Bills (6-6 SU, 6-5-1 ATS) head to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia next Sunday to face the Eagles (5-7 SU, 5-7 ATS) in a huge game for both teams who are still in the postseason hunt, despite mediocre Records and lackluster Regular Seasons and coming off nice Wins (Texans, Patriots respectively). The last time these two met here in the City of Brotherly Love, the then Andy Reid-coached Eagles defeated the Bills, 17-9, but failed to cover ATS by 1-point as 9-point favorites in 2008. The Bills are 4-1 ATS in the L5 in this series and have a much better football team and Defense than do the Eagles, although Philadelphia showed some spark against the Super Bowl champions on Sunday and should probably best be avoided like all teams than can’t beat the Lions, Dolphins, Redskins or Cowboys but can beat the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Advanced Line here had the Bills as slight 1-point chalks.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers Panthers -7½, 46 (Heritage): NFL MVP-candidate Cam Newton and the Panthers (11-0 SU, 8-3 ATS) play host to Matt Ryan and the fading Atlanta Falcons (6-6 SU, 4-8 ATS) in a game in which the hosts need to win to preserve their unbeaten Record and one in which the visitors may need to win to keep their dissolving Postseason hopes alive. This will be the first meeting between these two Southeast rivals who will meet again in Week 16 in Atlanta. Last year in this game in Charlotte, Carolina defeated the Falcons, 34-10 and easily covered the 8½-point spread. Atlanta—which got RB Devonta Freeman (14 rushes, 47 yards) back in Week 13—is an abysmal 1-5 ATS the L6 vs. the Panthers and 0-3 ATS the L3 here in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium. The Advanced Line here was -8 and with Atlanta doing the whirlpool thing with a 5-game Losing streak, the idea here is to find a (Panthers minus) 7 (Sky Bet, -110) and fade the Dirty Birds knowing Carolina likely won’t play as bad as they did against New Orleans on Sunday.

Free NFL Pick: Panthers -7 (Sky Bet)

San Francisco 49ers vs. Cleveland Browns PK, 41 (5Dimes): Blaine Gabbert and the San Francisco 49ers (4-8 SU, 6-6 ATS) head east three Time Zones (PST to EST) to face QB Johnny Manziel and the Cleveland Browns (2-10 SU, 4-8 ATS) in an inter-conference affair with absolutely no meaning. These two teams don’t play that much, but the last time they did the Browns lost 20-10 and failed to cover ATS by a point as a 9-point chalk back in 2011 while the last meeting here in Cleveland saw the then Romeo Crennel-coached Browns top the 49ers, 20-7 and barely cover again ATS as healthy 11½-point chalks in 2007 when Donald Trump was still just a Real Estate baron with a big ego. Despite a nice Win in Chicago on Sunday against the schizophrenic Bears, San Francisco has still scored the least Points in the entire NFL (178) and are one of only two NFL still yet to eclipse the 200-point mark (Rams, 189). The Browns were 3-point favorites on the Advanced Line.

Washington Redskins vs. Chicago Bears -3, 44 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): The Washington Redskins (5-6 SU, 5-6 ATS, vs. Cowboys on Monday Night Football; Odds: Redskins -3 +110, bet365) head to the Windy City next Sunday to face Jay Cutler and the upstart Chicago Bears (5-7 SU, 6-6 ATS) in a game between teams in which Washington suddenly looks like it has better chances of playing Postseason football than do the Bears. The last time these two played, the then Mike Shanahan-coached Redskins defeated Chicago, 45-41 and covered ATS getting 1 point in 2011 in Landover, Maryland while the last time these two NFC teams locked horns here at Soldier Field, Washington won outright, 13-10 getting 3 points in 2010. The Redskins are an impressive 10-3 ATS the L13 vs. Chicago and Washington is 8-2 ATS the L8 here in Chitown but it must be noted most of those were much better Redskins teams. This one should be fun, but the Bears should find a way to get the victory with Washington 0-5 SU on the Road this season heading in and Chicago should be fairly priced on the Money Line.

Detroit Lions vs. St. Louis Rams -1, 40½ (Heritage): Rookie sensation RB Todd Gurley (Georgia) and the St. Louis Rams (4-8 SU, 4-7-1 ATS) welcome fellow Rookie RB Ameer Abdullah (Nebraska) and the Detroit Lions (4-8 SU, 4-8 ATS) to the Edward Jones Dome in the Gateway City on Sunday afternoon for this meaningless inter-divisional NFL Week 14 tilt. The last time these two played, the then Jim Schwartz-coached Lions beat the Rams 27-23 in Week of the 2012 season but failed to cover as robust 9-point favorites while the last meeting here in St. Louis saw the Rams upset Detroit, 41-34 and win outright as 5½-point dogs in 2006. The Rams are 3-1 ATS the L4 in this series and with the QB play St. Louis has gotten of late, taking the upstart Lions and QB Matt Stafford, WR Calvin Johnson, WR Golden Tate and speedy RB Abdullah would be the only way to go here.

Free NFL Pick: Lions +1 (Heritage)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837188, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

San Diego Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs -10, 46 (MGM Mirage): Mercurial QB Philip Rivers and the Chargers (3-9 SU, 4-8 ATS) travel two Time Zones east (PST to CST) to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this Sunday afternoon to face QB Alex Smith and the upstart Chiefs (7-5 SU, 7-5 ATS) in an AFC West game which only have meaning to host Kansas City and S Eric Berry. When these two met earlier this year in San Diego, Kansas City rolled to a 33-3 Win as 3-point favorites on Nov. 22. The Chiefs are now 4-0 ATS the L4 in this series with that Win and Cover and are may be worth a shot here although the Bolts looked good against the Jaguars in Week 12 and 8½ (points) is an awfully steep price The Advanced Line here was -8½, so you can see the increasing respect from both Oddsmakers and the General Public for this impressive Kansas City Chiefs (Overs 7-4-1) team.

Free NFL Pick: Chiefs -9½ -125 (Bet365)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837191, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4, 51 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints (4-8 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) welcome Rookie QB Jameis Winston and the improving Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS) to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sunday for this NFC South affair with only meaning to the hosts and WR Mike Evans. When these two met earlier this season in Week 2, the Bucs won outright 26-19 as huge 9½-point underdogs while in this meeting in Tampa last season, the Saints won 23-20 but failed to cover as 6-point chalks in Week 17. Mariota, Doug Martin, Evans and the Bucs are now 4-1 ATS the L5 in this series and are 3-1 ATS the L4 here at Raymond James and with the saints DBs looking atrocious in their loss to Carolina on Sunday, backing the Floridians is the call here although laying the 3½ or 4 now prevalent in the marketplace seems scarier than buying down to a (Bucs minus) 3 in this particular case.

Free NFL Pick: Buccaneers -3 -142 (Bet365)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837185, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars PK (BetOnline): RB TJ Yeldon and the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8 SU, 6-6 ATS) welcome the wounded Indianapolis Colts (6-6 SU, 6-6 ATS) to EverBank Field in Jacksonville Sunday for the Week 14 AFC South game which is still important to the visitors despite the ugly Record. When these two met earlier this Regular Season in Naptown, the Colts were victorious in Week 4, winning 16-13 in OT but failing to cover ATS as 4-point favorites (with usual starting QB Andrew Luck out) while in this game last year in Alligator Alley, Indianapolis won 44-17 and easily covered as 5½-point favorites. The Colts are 5-1 ATS the L6 in this series—the lone non-cover that aforementioned ATS Loss earlier this year—and the Colts are 3-0 ATS the L3 here and looked like a strong play in this situation until the Injuries piled up on Sunday and with QB Matt Hasselbeck (Questionable) now hobbled himself. All you need to know about this Colts team is that a Defensive player was celebrating like he won the Lotto after a 2nd Half sack on Sunday night with the score Pittsburgh 28, Indianapolis 10. The object of the game is to Win, Bubba, and not to draw attention to yourself. Remember? Hello?

Tennessee Titans vs. New York Jets -7½, 43½ (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): Rookie QB Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans (3-9 SU, 5-7 ATS head to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon to face the New York Jets (7-5 SU, 6-5-1 ATS) in an AFC inter-divisional affair which only matters to the Jets. The last time these two AFC sides locked horns, the Jets won 16-11 last season in Nashville and covered ATS as 3-point favorites (by 2 points) while the last meeting here at MetLife Stadium with the Jets as host saw the then Rex Ryan-coached New York AFC team top Tennessee, 24-17 as 1-point chalks in 2009. GangGreen is 7-2 ATS the L9 against the Titans and with the lowly Titans a miserable 8-22-3 ATS its L33 (37.5%) overall heading in, backing Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker and Company is the call, but find or make a 7.

Free NFL Pick: Jets -7 (Station Casinos)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837192, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

New England Patriots -3½, 45 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook) vs. Houston Texans: The Flex Schedule demanded the Super Bowl champs and so this Sunday night in primetime on NBC it’s the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (10-2 SU, 5-4-3 ATS) and QB Tom Brady (65-47-1 ATS on Road) paying a visit to the Lone Star State to face JJ Watt and the rejuvenated Texans (6-5 SU, 6-5 ATS, at Bills) in an enticing Week 14 AFC inter-divisional game from Reliant Stadium in Houston which could surprise and suddenly seems like a must-win for wobbly New England. The last time these two met, the Patriots won 34-31 but failed to cover ATS as 7-point favorites in 2013 in here in Houston and Rob Gronkowski (Questionable) and New England are a strong 4-1 ATS the L5 in this series but with Gronk hobbled and Julian Edelman (WR) and Dion Lewis (RB) on the shelf, just aren’t as deep as the they were Roster-wise in Week 1 and look like they could be in some trouble. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook NFL Games of the Year opened this game up at Patriots -2½ and it seems maybe a month ago this line would be around 5 points higher.

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837189, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos -7½, 43½ (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): David Carr and the Oakland Raiders (5-7 SU, 6-6 ATS) head to Sports Authority Field in Denver to face QB Brock Osweiler and the Broncos (10-2 SU, 8-3-1 ATS) in a game which now only matters to Denver with Rookie WR Amari Cooper and the visitors losing on Sunday in Week 13 to the Chiefs and pretty much getting knocked out of the season. With a downhearted Silver and Black playing at Altitude in the Rocky Mountains in the cold month of December, the logical and easy pick here is with Denver which is fighting for AFC Home-field Advantage now with the Patriots suffering a 2nd Loss and hurt. When these two met earlier this season, the Broncos won 16-10 in Oakland and barely covered the 5-point spread in a 16-10 Win. Denver is a perfect 7-0-1 ATS the L8 against the Raiders but the Broncos are just 1-6-1 ATS the L8 against Oakland here in Denver. Weird, but true. Damn numbers.

Free NFL Pick: Broncos -6½ -115 (Coral)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837193, "sportsbooksIds":[169,1096,93,19,92,238], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers -8½, 44 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): The Dallas Cowboys (3-8 SU, 3-8 ATS, at Redskins on Monday Night Football; Odds: Redskins -3 +110, Bet365) head to historic Lambeau Field Sunday to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (8-4 SU, 7-5 ATS) in an NFC inter-divisional tilt which looked much better before the season started and Cowboys QB Tony Romo suffered a couple of serious Collarbone injuries. The last time these two historic NFL teams met, the Packers eliminated WR Dez Bryant and Dallas from last year’s NFC Playoffs, 26-21, losing outright as (surprise) 5½-point favorites and incredibly good SU and ATS on the Road. Green Bay is 3-1 ATS the L4 against the Cowboys who will likely still be going with new backup QB Matt Cassel with Romo done for the season. The number seems and looks high, but there is a good reason. As always, usually. Lean Cheeseheads over Matt Cassel (Probable) and Dallas with the fumes of that miraculous Hail Mary to TE Richard Rodgers on Thursday night in Detroit to beat the Lions. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook NFL Games of the Year had Green Bay open up as 5-point chalks here, so you can see how much Dallas has dipped, even though the Packers are beat up and without superstar WR and Kansas State product Jordy Nelson for the season.

Seattle Seahawks OFF vs. Baltimore Ravens: Richard Sherman and the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks (7-5 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) head three Time Zones (PST to EST) and the 2,770 miles east to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore to possibly face backup QB Matt Schaub (Joe Flacco, Knee, done for season) and the Ravens (3-8 SU, 3-7-2 ATS) in an AFC inter-conference Week 14 affair from Crab City and big game for the visitors who are churning up their perennial 2nd Half of the Regular Season Momentum. When these two last met in 2011 in the Emerald City, the Seahawks won outright 22-17 as 6½-point underdogs while the last meeting here in Crab City was way back in 2003 where the Ravens pulled out a 44-41 OT win here at M&T Bank Stadium. Right now (Monday afternoon), there are few places hanging a line on this game but Offshore operators BetOnline (-6) and (-9) have quite the spread on their numbers up now. The best approach here should be to grab the Seahawks at the -6 now if you have access as it’s hard to imagine anyone wanting a piece of the Ravens and Pick-6 Machine Schaub now. Note: TE Jimmy Graham and RB Marshawn Lynch are injured for Seattle and, like Flacco and teammate WR Steve Smith, done for the this season while RB Justin Forsett is also Out for the Ravens here.

Free NFL Pick: Seahawks -6 (BetOnline)

Monday, December 14, 2015
New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins PK, 47 (Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook): QB Eli Manning and the New York Giants (5-7 SU, 6-5-1 ATS) head south to sunny Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida next Monday night to face WR Jarvis Landry and the host Miami Dolphins (5-7 SU, 4-8 ATS) in a big inter-conference game for the visitors from the Big Apple. When these two clubs last met, the then Tony (Woke up this morning) Sparano-coached Dolphins lost 20-17 at MetLife Stadium in 2011 but covered ATS as big 9½-point underdogs while the last meeting here in South Florida was way back in 1996—when Bill Clinton was US President and we all had more Patience—at Pro Player Stadium (also in Miami Gardens)—and saw the G-Men winning outright, 17-7 and covering the Point Spread as 7-point underdogs. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook NFL Games of the Year odds released late Spring had the Dolphins open as healthy 3½-point favorites for this primetime Monday night game in which we can expect New York NFC WR Odell Beckham Jr. to shine. The Giants are 8-14 ATS as Road underdogs on MNF—if they assume that role from Miami money—while the Dolphins are 13-14 ATS as Home Favorites under the Monday night primetime spotlights.

Free NFL Pick: Giants +1 (Heritage)
