We keep the Sharp money train moving tonight in an NFC East showdown between the Redskins and Cowboys, and I have a feeling Bovada has one line in particular that we can exploit for value.

Samaje Perine O/U 17½ Receiving Yards

The rookie running back out of Oklahoma, Washington's Perine has now looked impressive for two straight weeks. The Redskins had been fumbling around and not playing him as much, but injuries and Perine’s recent performances basically mean he should take over the starting running back role for the Skins full-time.

Even on the short week tonight in Dallas, that may be the case for the Skins as they play on the road. They might feel the need to throw the ball a bit more, and Perine is likely going to be on the field for those attempts. Perine saw 50 offensive snaps last week in Washington’s win over the Giants, and you can bet he is going to get just as many tonight against this questionable Cowboys defense.

The Cowboys have allowed a total of 61 catches for 546 receiving yards to opposing running backs this season, which is an average of 5.5 catches for nearly 50 receiving yards per game. That yards total ranks near the bottom of the league in that category, so as long as Perine is catching a few passes in this one, I think we’re safe.

However, that’s the million-dollar question. Perine caught three balls on four targets last week for 30 yards last week, and with Chris Thompson on IR there really isn’t anyone to take too many passing down snaps away from Perine.

Byron Marshall got some run last week for the Skins, but he has appeared in approximately two games, and if this game is close or even if the Skins are playing from behind Perine will be on the field. I’d say two catches is what we need to cash the 'over' in this one, and with such a small yards total, it’s hard not to take a chance on it assuming Perine’s volume.
