We look at Sunday's game between the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers for our Crusher of the Week NFL pick. Read this betting preview so you can put the NFL odds in your favor.

Oakland Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (-4.5), Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 EST
The Oakland Raiders travel three time zones east to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in this 1 PM eastern game. West to east scenarios have not suited the Raiders well. Their 4-23 SU road record includes just 1-15 SU in the Eastern Time zone. In addition, the Raiders have a long term history of failing in this situation, with a record of 2-11 SU ATS off consecutive victories when traveling west to east. The Steelers are in a positive bounce back situation, standing 10-1 ATS at home following a home loss.

Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders enter this game with a better record (4-3) than the 4-4 SU Pittsburgh Steelers. Two weeks ago, they upset San Diego (37-29) as a 4 point underdog, bolting to an early lead. Last week, it was a near carbon copy victory vs the defensively stout New York Jets, 34-20. In that game, the Raiders outrushed the Jets 118-74 and piled up 451 total yards on one of the best defenses in the NFL, who entering that contest was allowing just 283 YPG. That does not even touch on the fact that behind QB Carr and his young group of receivers, the Raiders are completing 67% of their passes for an average of 265 PYG. But what goes up in the NFL, especially two weeks in a row for a franchise that has been mired in less than mediocrity in recent seasons, is destined to go down. And what better week to do it than the situation described in the above paragraph?

Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are at the other end of the spectrum. They come off consecutive losses at Kansas City then home to Cincinnati last Sunday. It was a Steeler gift to the Bengals, as they outrushed the jungle cats 116-78 and out passed them 240-218. But 3 interceptions from the rusty right arm of Big Ben proved to be the difference in a 16-10 home loss. There was more bad news for the Steelers, as they lost RB Bell (knee). Fortunately for Pittsburgh, RB Williams has performed well in his stead in early games this season. Most analysts would also agree that there is huge upside potential for QB Roethlisberger successfully connecting with the explosive WR tandem of Bryant and Brown.

This is one of those NFL scenarios that begs for a reversal. The combination of a pair of Oakland wins and a pair of Pittsburgh losses, along with the west to east travel and the home/road dichotomies outlined above, make it clear that this is most probably a home blowout for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
