Welcome to the Christmas edition of our Monday Night Football player prop pick! I hope you all have a blessed and happy holiday, because I’m about to unleash one final player prop from BetOnline that is sure to bring your NFL Week to a profitable close.

Derek Carr O/U 245½ Passing Yards

We split a pair of Christmas Eve quarterback props from Philip Rivers and Matt Stafford, so I’m going back to the well for QBs with Oakland's Derek Carr tonight in Philadelphia. Even though he is on the road in the Eastern time zone, that hasn’t fazed Carr too much this season. His last two games in Eastern time zone, Carr threw for 300 or more yards in both of them, and I think he makes it a third on Monday Night Football.

Even though the Eagles’ secondary has been very good this season, the shear volume of passing done by their opponents has led them to allow 542 pass attempts this season, a league-high. That’s an average of 36 times per game. In games where Carr has attempted 36 or more passes this season, he is averaging nearly 273 passing yards per game, and I think that is a better total for Carr here.

We obviously don’t know how the Eagles are going to play with Nick Foles now under center thanks to the loss of Carson Wentz, but either way I expect the Raiders to throw the ball. Carr is averaging about 34 pass attempts per game on the road this season, and even though his yards per attempt average is just 6.8, if he can average just 7.0 yards per attempt in this one, 36 attempts would be enough for the 'over.' Considering he is averaging 38 per game over his last five, I like Carr to squeak out an over in his yards prop for Christmas night.
