There were a lot of plays that almost made it into my Premium Parlay this week. Brent from BetDSI had more sharp plays than usual to tell me about this week, and the professional handicappers in our game preview videos at SBR Videos had a number of convincing arguments for value this week as well.
In college football, Joe Duffy from OffshoreInsiders.com had some very interesting things to say about a number of games, including Clemson/Maryland and Penn St/Ohio St. And in fact, his take on the spread in the Ohio St game related to a play on the total that Brent told me was a sharp side, and I did in fact wind up using the total in Penn St/Ohio St as one of the legs in this week’s parlay.
In the NFL, there are a number of plays that I do think have decent value, but none quite certain enough to include in the parlay, except for one.
Tony George from TonyGeorgeSports.com made a great case for a play on Detroit, and Brent later told me he has a notable public/sharp split on that game, with the public actually coming in big on Dallas as a road dog, and the sharps on Detroit.
I discussed the Pitt/Oakland game with Scott Kellen from SixthSenseSports.com, and we both agreed that Oakland as a small home dog probably has some value.
And Stephen Oh from EventDataServices.com and I also agreed on the game we covered, both liking Atlanta as a small road dog at Arizona.
And finally Shark Harrison from VegasKillers.com gave us his usual interesting call, and we both agreed that the Jets have some value as a decent-sized underdog at Cincinnati.
But in the end, I decided to leave out all of those picks. I went with 2 totals in college football that Brent told me were sharp sides, one total in the NFL that Brent told me was a sharp side, and was also the play Troy West from AllPlaysWin.com recommended in our preview vid for that game, and then I also included two college football first half totals from my own handicapping.
