As another round of NFL betting looms on the horizon, we’re tackling the ambitious task of predicting the winners of all 15 Games in week 6. Check out are game-by-game analysis and NFL picks using the latest NFL odds currently in swing across sports betting platforms. Our predictions include some obvious SU favourites, as well bold predictions for underdogs that could surprise this week.

A Word To The Wise
We go through each and every game on the board serving up our SU NFL picks for your weekend thrills, some of which are going to come across as obvious and others as fairly certain picks. A few might come across a bit bold, so don’t go betting the farm if taking a risk here and there isn’t your cup of tea. In any event, this isn’t the gospel. Just our best guesstimate.

Indianapolis Colts -150 vs. Houston Texans +130
Although the Colts and Texans are tied for top spot in the AFC South behind a 3-2 SU mark, no illusions about which side is the favourite in this matchup is to be had in NFL betting markets. Colts are amongst the offensive leaders in the league right now (1st in passing offense) and they are riding a three-game winning streak since wobbles in their first two games. For good reason they’ll be the popular NFL pick amongst causal sports bettors. Yet, Houston Texans are undefeated at home this season, something odds makers are factoring into the equation but not enough to send the Texans into this game as the favourites. Matched at +130 NFL odds, the Texans aren’t getting the respect they deserve. They very nearly upset Dallas at home last week, something that could be a catalyst for a strong showing against a divisional opponent. We are going out on a limb here perhaps, but we quite fancy the upset by the Texans. Chalk it to the appealing value betting on the home team offers in just about every sport, no more so when they are being underestimated.

NFL Picks: Houston +130

Baltimore Ravens -180 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +160
The Bucs have plenty of positives to turn to from their last two games of the NFL season, which could suggest they have a reasonable shot to defy the NFL odds as the home pups in week 6 NFL betting. Since Mike Glennon took over centre, the Bucs’ god-awful start on the season appears a distant memory. Well, almost. Glennon led the Bucs to an inspired road win over Pittsburgh against the NFL odd in week 4, and very nearly delivered a second straight win in New Orleans last week, only to lose 37-31 in overtime. The Bucs are yet to win at home, but NFL bettors would be well served to consider Ravens’ road woes in seasons past. Since 2012, Baltimore are 9-11 SU on the road and this season they are 1-1 SU on the road. It’s another long shot NFL pick to consider, but we’re willing to take the chance on the Bucs here.

NFL Picks: Bucs +160

Carolina Panthers +250 vs. Cincinnati Bengals -310
Carolina Panthers are being severely underrated and, simultaneously, the Cincinnati Bengals are shocking overrated here. There’s quite a bit of parity between these two sides on both sides of the ball as far as NFL league rankings go, which should serve up a much closer game than the odds makers would have us believe. Casual NFL bettors are most likely to side with the home favourites at their whopping -310 SU NFL odds, but, yet again, we’re tempted by the underdogs in this game to deliver a home upset. Panthers are 10-8 SU since 2012 as the road team while Bengals are 14-5 SU as the home team over the same span. If there were a time to beat the Bengals, who are proving rather good this season, this might be the best time, while their still reeling from a Patriots beat down in Week 5 NFL betting.

NFL Picks: Panthers +250

Denver Broncos -450 vs. New York Jets +350
Who in their right mind would bet against the Broncos in a lopsided matchup as this one is. Jets have lost the plot behind four straight defeats, the last one being the ugliest of them all – 31-0 walloping in San Diego. Broncos to win straight up at pricey -450 NFL odds has to be the only NFL pick most NFL bettors would entertain in this clash, as are we. Broncos to keep rolling through the NFL schedule.

NFL Picks: Broncos -450

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings
NFL odds aren’t available for this matchup at NFL betting platform as yet due to too many unknowns: Will Bridgewater to start or not? Will Calvin Johnson be rested for this game? And so on... For our part, we’re consider a few things. Firstly, Vikings got served in Green Bay with Ponder at centre on Thursday, so they’ll be looking to rebound at home. If Ponder does start, it’s game over surely. Bridgewater would fare better if his game against the Falcons were any indication, but to lead the Vikings to a victory over a fearsome Lions’ defense, well that might be too much for the diminutive quarterback. Lions gave a game away to the Bills last week so they’ll be motivated to bounce back in a notionally winnable game.

NFL Picks: Lions

Green Bay Packers -170 vs. Miami Dolphins +150
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are on a roll. Dolphins, meanwhile, are flopping about from game-to-game. Even though they righted the ship and are coming off a win in their last NFL outing – they beat the hapless Raiders – we’re not convinced of their NFL betting value as the home underdogs. Green Bay are 7-4 SU as the away favourites since 2012.

NFL Picks: Packers -170

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans
Another matchup that is frankly up in the air, floating on the NFL odds board without a price tag as yet. Jaguars are winless on the season while the Titans haven’t won since their opening win over the Chiefs that shocked NFL betting markets. Given all the uncertainties in both camps at centre, and the crushed confidence and injury woes to boot, this game could go either way. That being said, no matter which QB gets the call at centre, we’re backing the Titans to win SU. Jaguars are 4-15 SU since 2012 as the away team.

NFL Picks: Titans

New England Patriots-150 vs. Buffalo Bills +130
After the gauntlet throwing performance over the undefeated Bengals in week 5 NFL betting, Patriots are finally gaining back the respect they deserve. Bills were frankly lucky to start the season on back-to-back wins and luckier still to beat the Lions last week at home. Reality to set over the Bills camp when Tom Brady comes calling. Main fact: Patriots have won 20 of the last 21 games over their divisional subordinates.

NFL Picks: Patriots -150

Pittsburgh Steelers +105 vs. Cleveland Browns -125
The Steelers have been blowing hot and cold this season, frustrating more than a few NFL bettors. Meanwhile, the Browns are after a monumental upset in Week 5 NFL betting, coming through as the road underdogs at Tennessee all while erasing an improbable 25-point deficit. The potential for a Browns hangover, which would take the shine off their favourable -125 NFL odd, can’t be ignored. That said when it comes down to choosing between a Browns side that has lots of upside and a Steelers side that frankly disappoints repeatedly, the former emerge as the value NFL pick. Consider had one or two plays gone the way of the Browns, they would have been undefeated going into week 6 NFL betting. Crazy.

NFL Picks: Browns -125

San Diego Chargers-330  vs. Oakland Raiders +265
Chargers are riding the verve and momentum of a four-game winning streak that underscores their overwhelming -330 NFL odds. Crucially, they are solid on both sides of the ball – averaging 26.6 points per game and stifling opponents against the pass (2nd with 194 yards allowed per game) and rush (9th with 96.0 yards allowed per game). Oakland Raiders are mired in an existential crisis by comparison. Firing their coach and mounting wholesale changes since returning from their site-seeing tour of London. Few would be brave to back the Raiders for the home upset at +265 NFL odds.

NFL Picks: Chargers -330

Chicago Bears +155 vs. Atlanta Falcons -175
With defense to speak of on either side of the coin, this game could go either way. Forced to make a choice, we’re backing the home favourites to win straight up on our NFL wagering ticket. Matt Ryan has been a statistician’s dream, as well the Falcons are solid at home this season. Overall, they are 13-7 SU since 2012 as the home team and 12-3 SU as the home favourite over the same span.

NFL Picks: Falcons -175

Dallas Cowboys +290 vs. Seattle Seahawks -370
Seattle Seahawks are nigh indomitable at home, going 16-1 SU since 2012. They are in fact the best-performing unit at home in the NFL over that stretch of time, churning out victories at a 94.1% winning ratio. If that doesn’t give you an idea of the impossible task Tony Romo and Company are faced with if they hope to mastermind the sports betting upset of the year – heck, decade – the current NFL betting money-line odds should do the trick.

NFL Picks: Seahawks -370

Washington Redskins vs. Arizona Cardinals
This is a matchup that features quarterback dilemmas on both sides of the coin. Cardinals could be down to a third-string quarterback if neither Carson Palmer (nerve damage) nor Drew Stanton (concussion) are available. Redskins, meanwhile, are still adjusting to life without RGIII. Kirk Cousins got off to a promising start, but three straight defeats have taken the shine off his win over the Jaguars in Week 2 NFL betting. Some allowances have to be made for facing off against three tough units – Eagles, Giants and Seahawks in succession. We’re working on the assumption the Cardinals are going to field a third-string quarterback, which serves up the Redskins as the value NFL pick to win outright. (It goes without saying if Palmer or Stanton start, the advantage swings towards the home side wholeheartedly).

NFL Picks: Redskins

New York Giants +130 vs. Philadelphia Eagles -150
With two lethal offenses firing at all cylinders, this game is another coin-tosser for your NFL picks this weekend. Both teams are up the stats sheets in points per game – Eagles are averaging 31.2 while Giants are averaging 26.6 points per game. Eli Manning has 11 TDs, 5 interceptions and 7 sacks. Foles has eight TDs, 5 interceptions and 6 sacks. Offensive strengths offset by defensive shortcomings, this game could go either way. Home favourites have been performing well for NFL bettors this season, so for that reason we’re giving it to the Eagles at -150 NFL odds to win straight up.

NFL Picks: Eagles -150

San Francisco 49ers  -175 vs. St. Louis Rams +155
Niners are after a hard fought victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5 NFL betting. Heading to St. Louis for a pivotal divisional clash, the Niners will look to extend their winning form, all while asserting themselves within the division. As things currently stand, they are third in the table behind Arizona and Seattle. A win and a 4-2 SU record could see the balance shift considerably. Rams, meanwhile, have lost the NFL betting public behind a 1-3 start on the season. Statistically they are sound, but they can’t seem to buy a win no matter how hard they try. Gaining the precious “W” against a stalwart defense is going to be tough. Take the Niners on your NFL picks as the road favourites at -175 NFL odds.

NFL Picks: Niners -175
