Philadelphia 3-game skid has them at 4-7. The Eagles head to New England to face the 10-1 Patriots, who should be fired up after their first loss of the season, but they have a ton of injuries.

The Patriots opened up as 10-point favorites at home and that is where the NFL odds have stayed. The fact that they're still favored by double digits despite a number of huge injuries on offense tells you something about Philadelphia. The Eagles looked like they gave up as they were pummelled 45-14 in Detroit on Thanksgiving, and the Chip Kelly era might be coming to a close. The Patriots were on the wrong end of a couple of bad calls in their 30-24 loss in Denver, but they have much bigger worries as injuries are really starting to hurt. As terrible as the Eagles have been, they're still only a game out of first in the brutal NFC East, but right now, they need to play for pride more than anything.

The Eagles should also have QB Sam Bradford back as he returns from a separated shoulder and a concussion. Even still, he would probably be better than Mark Sanchez, who was awful against Miami and Tampa Bay, but fared well against the Lions. It's also not like Bradford was setting the world on fire when he played.  RB Ryan Mathews is still out with a concussion, while DE Cedric Thornton has a bad ankle. S Walter Thurmond misssed Wednesday's practice because of his hamstring, but he expects to practice on Friday.

The latest injury to hit the Patriots is TE Rob Gronkowski, who has a knee injury. For all of New England's injuries, they could deal with them as long as “Gronk” was healthy. Now, Belichick and Brady have to figure out how to deal with his absence, which might be a week or two. However, it looks like WR Danny Amendola will be back from his knee injury. LB Jamie Collins should return from an illness.

Philadelphia is 4-7 ATS this season, including 2-4 ATS on the road. The Patriots are 5-3-3 ATS overall, and they're 3-0-3 ATS at home. The total is set at 49.5, and the Patriots have gone over six times while Philadelphia has gone over four times.

The Patriots are 4-5 SU and 2-6 ATS in nine meetings with the Eagles, but they won 24-21 at Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. The Eagles are 1-1 SU and 2-0 ATS in two trips to New England.
