Philadelphia still wasn't great in a win over the New York Giants, but they did enough to move to 3-3 and they've won three of their last four now while Carolina sits at 5-0.

Opening Odds & Line Movement

Open: Odds at Pinnacle
The NFL odds for this game opened at -3.5 for the Panthers at home and hasn't moved since, and there are a couple possible reasons. There are probably players that think the Eagles are starting to click, but they aren't quite sold on them yet. Meanwhile, the Panthers should have proven to bettors after opening with a weak slate that they could be trusted, but welcome to life in the Cam Newton era as Carolina has never been a favorite of the bettors. Quarterback, as always, will be a major focus of this game and Newton is 23rd in passer rating, but he has just four picks all season. Philadelphia counterpart Sam Bradford has nine picks and comes in at 29th in QBR, and you get the feeling that Chip Kelly's offense would be better with Newton running the show.

For the Eagles, LB Kiko Alonso is closer to returning from a knee injury, but not quite yet. Fellow LB Mychal Kendricks, however, was a full participant in practice with a hamstring injury and that is good news for Philadelphia, LB DeMeco Ryans (hamstring), WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) and WR Riley Cooper (knee) were also out of practice on Wednesday, but watch out for Thursday's report.

Carolina is waiting for CB Teddy Williams and LB A.J. Klein to be cleared from concussions, while DE Jared Allen should be good with a back injury. LB Shaq Thompson won't play because of a bad knee.

The Eagles are 4-6 both SU and ATS in their last 10 games overall, going 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five on the road. Carolina has covered in four of their last five games, and even though they're 5-0 SU in their last five at home, they're 2-3 ATS in those games.

The Panthers are 3-6 SU and ATS in nine meetings with the Eagles, who are 2-1 SU and ATS in Carolina. All three of those games in Carolina were over the total.
