NFL Week 8 features two marquee matchups that have both taken big public betting action so far. Peter Loshak breaks down the market and shares the best side to bet with your NFL picks.
The Cincinnati Bengals, who are 5-0-1 ATS so far this year, return from their bye week to go on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are 5-1-1 ATS this year, and will be getting Ben Roethlisberger back at QB. The line for the game has been bouncing on and off pick ‘em all week long, attracting huge betting volume from the public, as well as big two-way action from some bigger, more respectable accounts at the sportsbooks. Even in my videos this week, the guest experts are going against each other, with Brandon Shively liking the Steelers while Mike Brenner likes the Bengals.
Then the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos are each undefeated and each coming off a bye week, and they will meet up with the Packers as a small road favorite. That game has also taken big betting action from the public as well as from big-money but non-sharp accounts at sportsbooks, but as with the Cincy/Pittsburgh game, no clear sharp action as yet has come in.
Two underdogs this week did reportedly take notable sharp action, and both lines have moved lower over the course of the week.
In the London game, multiple sharp accounts reportedly came in on the Detroit Lions, and that line has moved from +6 to +3.5 in partial response to that. Detroit was reportedly also a huge sharp side last week though against Minnesota, and of course they went on to lose, and burned all that sharp money that was supposedly backing them in the process. And in my Friday video with Chris Andrews, he expressed support for the Chiefs, even at -3.5.
And the Dallas Cowboys, still without Tony Romo but possibly with Dez Bryant returning, also reportedly took some sharp action as a home underdog against the Seattle Seahawks.
In my parlay this week for the Pete’s Parlay Show, I have four legs, including a NFL pick with the spread on that controversial London game, to go along with three totals plays.
4-Plays Parlay NFL Picks: Lions +4 (-120) / Bengals-Steelers Over 48 (-120) / Jets-Raiders Over 44 (-110) / 49ers-Rams 39.5 (-110)
