Jordan Love 25+ rushing yards (+550) ⭐⭐⭐
After hitting on our +1000 parlay on Thursday night, we’re feeling frisky by including a long-shot bet inside a larger parlay. Still, there’s standalone value to sprinkle on this Jordan Love alternate rushing line at DraftKings.
Love to run around?
The Philly defense should improve substantially under the guidance of new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, but Fangio’s Dolphins weren’t impervious to quarterback rushes last season.
For example, in December, Dak Prescott scampered for 25 of his 242 rushing yards against Fangio’s Dolphins.
Although he mostly stayed in the pocket as the year evolved, Jordan Love still ran for 247 yards last season, clearing this line in four of 17 games.
In another two games, Love eclipsed 20 yards on the ground. At +550, the implied probability is 15.38%.
This alternate line is only found at DraftKings, so that’s the spot to play this SGP. If you’re not feeling this alt line, Love’s rushing total at FanDuel is 8.5 yards (-105 odds on Over).
Eagles -2 (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
While I think the DraftKings odds on Love’s alternate rushing total are too attractive to ignore, I mostly see the Eagles handling their business from top to bottom in this game.
Motivated and talented
Although the Packers looked impressive in their playoff efforts against the Cowboys and 49ers last season, I can't get too wrapped up in that sample.
The Packers are moving in the right direction as an organization, but progress isn’t always linear.
With coaches and players on the same page, the Eagles come into this game as the better team on both sides of the ball—and with a massive chip on their shoulders.
Though I expect the ‘tush push’ play to be less effective after Jason Kelce’s retirement, I like Saquon Barkley to assimilate perfectly into this dynamic offense.
There are simply too many weapons for the Packers to overcome.
We like the Eagles to -3, and we’re getting them at -2 with -112 odds at DraftKings.
AJ Brown anytime TD scorer (+120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Reports on Kellen Moore’s integration as the new Eagles offensive coordinator indicate that wide receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith are excited by the freedom they’ll have within the scheme.
Increased pre-snap motion for receivers should provide an athletic freak like Brown more matchup advantages than we’ve seen in his career.
Although Smith is a former Heisman Trophy winner with immense talent, Brown is a big-bodied red zone threat who should thrive in Moore’s offensive system.
In a game with the Eagles favored and a point total set at 50, finding Philly’s most dominant scoring threat at +120 to get into the end zone provides excellent value.
We hit on Thursday’s parlay with an implied probability of 9.09%. This parlay sits at 2.70% implied probability of converting. I'll take those odds.
