Oakland have lost 2 in a row since being dubbed the next big thing in the AFC. They'll be looking to get back on track in Detroit, but the Lions are coming off their 1st. win at Green Bay in 24 years.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -1 -105 at Pinnacle
This NFL odds opened at -1 for the Raiders on the road, before moving to -1.5 and then to -2. Oakland might have bought into their own hype when they were 5-3 and even a three-point loss in Pittsburgh wasn't bad. While Minnesota is proving to be a good team, the Raiders were manhandled in a 16-point loss at home and that might be enough to bring them back to earth. Meanwhile, the 2-7 Lions showed signs of life after a slew of head-office moves on their bye week, then they held on for their first win in Green Bay in more than two decades. While they probably aren't making the playoffs, it was a great win for a team that had looked listless before their bye and they can use that momentum going forward.

Injuries
For the Raiders, CB D.J. Hayden had to leave the Minnesota game with an ankle and didn't return, so keep an eye on that. But they've lost LB Aldon Smith for the season as he has been suspended for another violation of the NFL's substance-abuse program. Smith was in and out of trouble for San Francisco, but the Raiders took a chance on him and he couldn't take advantage of his new situation. Hopefully, Smith gets the help he obviously needs, while the Raiders need to fill that void in the pass-rushing game.

WR Calvin Johnson didn't practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, but he'll likely play this weekend. However, the secondary has taken a beating as two CBs are out for the season for the Lions as Josh Wilson suffered a knee injury, while Rashean Mathis has a concussion and might never play again. CB Nevin Lawson also has a concussion and didn't practice. DE Ezekiel Ansah is another player that didn't practice, this time because of a toe injury.

Trends
The Raiders have covered in five of nine games this season, but but three of four games on the road. The Lions are 2-7 ATS this season, and have failed to cover in four home games. The total has gone up from 47.5 to 48, and the Raiders have gone over in nine of their last 12; the Lions have gone over in four of their last five.

The Raiders are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS against the Lions since moving to Oakland, but they lost and failed to cover in their lone trip to Detroit in 2003.
