There's just 2 games set for Preseason Week 3 on Thursday, but that's all that we need as we have an interesting and possibly profitable take. Here are your Preseason NFL Picks of the Day for Thursday.

Atlanta Falcons vs Miami Dolphins

Getting In the Work
Miami really worked their 4000-yard passer, Ryan Tannehill last week in a 41-14 loss to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. In this game, Tannehill threw for 162 and 2 TD's. Tannehill is really starting to become a star in this league and he has a ton of receiving talent at his disposal.

Last week, Kenny Stills, who people think will leave the team at the end of the season, had 3 catches for 71 yards. Star wide receiver, Jarvis Landry (4 catches for 33 yards) was targeted 7 times! Although Arian Foster is a member of this Fins team, the Dolphins will be airing it out all season long and it starts in the preseason.

I don't think they're as focused on a team win in the preseason as they are in getting their players ready for the regular season. Last week was proof of that as Tannehill played well and Miami got destroyed by Dallas as Dak Prescott basically did anything that he wanted to. The defense is a question mark for Miami in this particular game.

Matt Schaub and More Matt Schaub
That's what we can expect to see this week as last week Schaub was basically the sole source of offense where the passing game was concerned for Atlanta in there 23-17 victory over a deep and tough Washington Redskins squad. Schaub was 10 for 15 and threw for 179 yards while Matt Ryan didn't even complete a pass. I expect Ryan to obviously be more effective this week, but Atlanta want's to keep Matt Ryan healthy. The Miami defense won't see a lot of Ryan.

Aldrick Robinson
If statistics could be transferred from the preseason to the regular season, Falcons wide receiver, Aldrick Robinson, would jump at the opportunity as he's been a flat out beast in the 2 preseason games thus far. Robinson, a player who has 608 career yards and 5 TD's to his credit, in his 4th season, is coming off of an 118-yard receiving performance against the Redskins after an outstanding week 1. Look for Robinson to continue to be targeted and produce as the Miami defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Atlanta is the team with the momentum and although on the road, I'm going to stick with them.

Dallas Cowboys vs Seattle Seahawks

A Momentum Killer?
The worst time for a player to get a concussion is in practice; a time where nothing is at stake. This is what has happened to Cowboys star wide receiver, Dez Bryant. Bryant had really begun to gel with preseason breakout star, quarterback, Dak Prescott. It will be interesting to see how Bryant play's when he returns to action as a head injury is nothing to mess around with and now, Dak Prescott, who has been nearly perfect in the first two pre-season games, loses a big-time target. Can Prescott sustain the excellence is the question as he faces a Seattle team that features "The Legion of Boom."

No More Searching
We stay with the topic of Prescott and he's right on point to ultimately take over for Tony Romo when Romo's career is finished. Owner, Jerry Jones, has announced that he's stopped searching for a backup quarterback for Romo as Prescott is coming off of another amazing game; a 10 for 12 performance for 139 yards, 2 TD's passing and 1 rushing TD in a 28-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Expect to see a ton of Prescott unless Seattle shakes his confidence and a decent amount of Tony Romo.

Secondary receivers such as Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams will see a ton of action as the 3rd week of the preseason is when respective teams really start to anticipate the arrival of the regular season and players shake off the rust.

All Eyes On Trevone Boykin
The rookie had a spectacular career with TCU and has already orchestrated a game-winning drive in the final minute of a ball game to give Seattle the 17-16 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Granted, it's preseason, but this will definitely prove to Boykin that he can play on this level behind Russell Wilson. In all, Boykin threw for nearly 200 yards and 1 TD and that has to have head-coach, Pete Carroll salivating.

We're not going to see many big names at the skilled positions. Wide receivers, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett will see a couple of targets apiece at most. Christine Michael will shoulder the load at running back and I expect Seattle to play well here. Dallas didn't win last week with Prescott nearly playing perfectly. This week shouldn't be any different and there should be a decline in Prescott's play due to the loss of Bryant.
