The Ravens face the Titans for the first time in three years, meaning Baltimore gets its first look at Marcus Mariota. Survivor Pick: Tennessee.

Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans (-4.5, 43)

These franchises have alternated wins in the past six meetings. They last played Week 10 of the 2014 season in Baltimore – when current Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was in his Heisman Trophy-winning season at Oregon – and the Ravens won 21-7. The eminently forgettable Zach Mettenberger was predictably overwhelmed that day by the Baltimore defense. There’s likely not going to be a line on this game until late this week because of Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. He was the victim of a vicious second-quarter hit by Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso in Baltimore’s 40-0 win last Thursday night. Flacco left with a concussion so his status is obviously up in the air. Had the Ravens played on Sunday in Week 8, I’d give him little shot of going here. But perhaps those few extra days will allow him to recover in time. The good news is that it’s the first reported concussion in Flacco's 10-year career. Baltimore has played just six games without Flacco since 2008, going 2-4 in his absence. The Titans come off their bye week. I like them at less than 7 points regardless of whether Flacco plays or not.

  • Ravens are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games.
  • Titans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games.

This could have playoff ramifications with Baltimore at 4-4 and second in the AFC North and Tennessee at 4-3 and tied for first in the AFC South. I’ll just say I expect a low-scoring game whether Flacco plays or not. He’s not having a good season. In replacing Flacco vs. Miami, Ryan Mallett had to complete only 3-of-7 passes for 20 yards and a touchdown because of the Ravens' big lead. Mallett struggled mightily in the preseason, which is why some Ravens fans wanted the team to sign Colin Kaepernick. The Titans are one of the most boring teams in the NFL to watch unless you like a punishing ground game. They entered the bye on a two-game winning streak but were lucky to win in Cleveland in Week 7, 12-9 in overtime. It was the fourth time this season that Tennessee was held to 16 points or fewer and the only time it won. The Titans likely will get back 2017 No. 5 overall pick WR Corey Davis for this one. He has barely played this season due to a hamstring injury suffered in camp. He would be a good red-zone target with his size. The Titans are converting just 46.7 percent of their red-zone trips into touchdowns, among the worst marks in the NFL.

  • Under is 5-2 in Titans last 7 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.
  • Under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings.
