The Cleveland Browns can’t win in America. So perhaps a trip across the pond is just what the Factory of Sadness needs? Yeah, probably not. Survivor Pick: Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings "at" Cleveland Browns (+9.5, 37.5)

As of this writing, embattled Browns coach Hue Jackson – he’s not coming back for a third season unless the Browns win at least a few games the rest of the way – hasn’t announced his starting quarterback for this one. Jackson has been yo-yoing rookie DeShone Kizer in and out of the lineup for the past few weeks. Cody Kessler finally got his shot in relief of an ineffective Kizer on Sunday and got the Browns to overtime against the Titans. Of course, Tennessee managed to win. It would be an upset if it’s not Kessler in this one, in my opinion . Kizer looks simply overmatched and he’s the lowest-rated QB in the NFL. In his last eight quarters (covering three games), Kizer has not thrown a touchdown pass and he has had four interceptions. Kessler showed some decent signs last year and was 10-for-19 for 121 yards with a pick in the loss to Tennessee. It was the first time he was even active this year. (Update: In typical Browns fashion, they are going with Kizer. Doesn't alter my pick.) The Vikings got to beat up on the second-worst rated QB in the NFL in Baltimore’s Joe Flacco last week. Minnesota won 24-16, holding the Ravens out of the end zone until the last play of the game.

  • Vikings are 9-3 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
  • Browns are 1-11-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

This is the lowest total of any game on Sunday and for good reason. The Browns are a joke at quarterback. And now their best player overall, left tackle Joe Thomas, a future Hall of Famer, is done for the season after suffering a torn triceps. How is this team supposed to score against a very good Minnesota defense? On the flip side, Minnesota QB Case Keenum doesn’t do much for me. The Vikings had to settle for six Kai Forbath field goals in the win over Baltimore. Then you have the London factor and that this is starting at 9:30 a.m. ET. Seems like it will be a sloppy, turnover-filled matchup. The Vikes are hoping that top receiver Stefon Diggs can return from a groin injury this week. I probably like the under here – Vikings might pitch a shutout – better than the side.

  • Under is 18-7-1 in Vikings last 26 games following a straight up win.
  • Under is 11-4 in Browns last 15 games overall.
