We had a great week of prop betting in Week 6, finishing 4-2 and moving our record to nearly 57 percent. I am back for Thursday’s NFC North battle between the Packers and Bears and I think I have found a few value plays to add to our bankroll even more.

Cameron Meredith O/U 70.5 receiving yards

The Bears aren’t going anywhere this season, but at the very least they have some young guys to get excited about. With Jordan Howard taking over the ground game, Cameron Meredith has ascended to the second wide out role behind Alshon Jeffery and he has been even more productive than the Bears’ franchise receiver.

Meredith has two straight games of more than 100 yards receiving and now on a short week, the Bears get to go up against a banged up and pretty bad secondary. The Packers have played only five games, but so far they have given up eight touchdowns and 941 yards to opposing receivers this season.

With how many targets Meredith is getting peppered with and with the likelihood of the Bears playing from behind, I feel like the over is the best play for Meredith in this one. His 27 targets over the last two weeks leads the Bears and while Jeffery has 19 in comparison. Simply put, 74 ½ receiving yards is too low in a game against one of the league’s worst secondaries on a short week so I suggest to back the over for you NFL week 7 picks.

Green Bay Packers O/U 27 points

The Packers’ offense has been running on fumes at times this season and with no running game tonight, it’s going to be hard for them to truly have a ton of offensive upside. However, there is nothing like a meeting with the Bears on a short week to get your passing game going.

While the Packers’ defense is likely going to give up some points in this one, the Packers’ offense doesn’t have many other options other to throw the ball tonight. That could lead to some quick strikes against this Bears secondary.

For Rodgers, there is nothing like seeing a home game against the Bears to get right. Rodgers absolutely owns the Bears. He is a career 12-4 against them, averaging over 240 yards and two touchdowns per game against them.

Recently it’s been even worse for the Bears when they run up against Rodgers and company. Their last Thursday game against one another was pretty ugly, but in the four games prior to their most recent game against each other, the Packers have scored an average of 39 points against the Bears. We might not see that many tonight, but a 30 spot is definitely in the cards for Green Bay if they can get going.
