The Miami Dolphins have quite the distraction to deal with this week as they travel to Atlanta to face a rested Falcons team coming off its bye week. Mismatch!? Survivor Pick: Atlanta.

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons (-11.5. 47)

I’m sure you have heard by now what happened involving Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster this weekend. Some hooker/model he apparently had a relationship with – yep, Foerster is married – posted a video on social media that Foerster had sent her of him snorting what appears to be cocaine before heading to a Dolphins team meeting. Wow! Foerster quit on Monday before he could be fired. The guy was one of the highest-paid assistants in the NFL at somewhere between $2.5 million and $3 million per season. What an idiot! This is the last thing the Dolphins need with their offense stuck in the mud. Plus, the Falcons are likely to be ornery here as they were stunned in Week 4 at home by Buffalo, ruining the Survivor Pools of many. The bye perhaps came at a good time because star receiver Julio Jones was a bit banged up. Right tackle Ryan Schraeder is likely to return from a concussion after missing two games. Pass-rushing linebacker Vic Beasley might play after a minor hamstring tear suffered in Week 2. I don’t give Miami much of a chance of winning here, but it can stay within 10.

  • Dolphins are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win.
  • Falcons are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a straight up loss.

How much longer can Adam Gase stick with Jay Cutler? Yes, the Dolphins ended a two-game losing streak Sunday with a 16-10 win over Tennessee, but that was in spite of Cutler and largely because the Titans were using Matt Cassel as their starting quarterback. Cutler was a gruesome 16-for-26 for 92 yards with a pick and a TD. He’s averaging a meager 5.39 yards per attempt. No wonder running back Jay Ajayi can’t get going. Cutler could be without WR DeVante Parker as he sprained his ankle in the Titans win. Miami's leading receiver entering Sunday, Parker has 18 receptions for 230 yards and one touchdown in four games. Expect the Falcons to get Jones more involved this week. He has one target in the red zone with no catches despite running 11 routes down there. Jones leads the team with 19 receptions for 295 yards, but he's not one of the five Falcons with a TD grab.

  • Under is 5-0 in Dolphins last 5 games overall.
  • Under is 7-2 in Falcons last 9 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
