First meeting of the season between these bitter NFC North rivals. It’s a potential letdown game for the Packers, while the Vikings are on a short week.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (+3, 47)

Aaron Rodgers, you are ridiculous! The future Hall of Famer added another last-minute comeback to his resume and broke the hearts of the Cowboys for the second time in about nine months as the Pack won 35-31 in Dallas last Sunday. Dallas scored the go-ahead touchdown too early as Rodgers capped a 75-yard drive in just 1:02, throwing the a 12-yard TD pass to Davante Adams with 11 seconds left. It was frankly amazing that Adams, who had another TD grab earlier, even played after nearly being decapitated in a Week 5 win over Chicago. Minnesota got starting QB Sam Bradford back Monday night from injury for the first time since Week 1. But he didn’t look right at all, was completely ineffective and replaced by backup Case Keenum late in the first half. Keenum led three second-half scoring drives and Kai Forbath kicked the winning 26-yard field goal in the final seconds after an interception by Harrison Smith deep in Chicago territory for a 20-17 victory. Green Bay has won five of the last seven at Minnesota. The Packers are 11-3-1 in the last 15 games between the teams during the regular and postseason.

  • Packers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win.
  • Vikings are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.

I’m assuming it will be Keenum under center for the Vikings. An MRI performed Bradford showed no new damage and status remains day-to-day. But if you watched Monday’s game, it’s tough to see him playing. After replacing Bradford in the second quarter Monday, Keenum relied heavily on his running backs and tight ends. Of his 21 pass attempts, 16 targeted running backs and tight ends, including his lone touchdown pass to Kyle Rudolph in the third quarter. The Packers, meanwhile, have scored at least 30 points in eight of their last 14 regular-season games against Minnesota. That included a 38-point effort the last time the two teams played last season at Lambeau Field. The Packers’ 614 points scored in the regular season since 2006 are the most against the Vikings in the NFL. Green Bay is averaging 27.9 points in that stretch. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Aaron Jones has "earned more opportunities." The rookie rushed 19 times for 125 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys.

  • Over is 6-0 in Packers last 6 road games.
  • Over is 11-5-1 in the last 17 meetings in Minnesota.
