This might well be the worst matchup of the entire season, but it could have important draft ramifications.  Survivor Pick: Cleveland (that’s a first).

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns (-1.5, 39)

Actually, my introductory paragraph is wrong. While these might be the two worst ROSTERS in the NFL right now and Cleveland the worst team at 0-4, the Jets have as many freaking wins as the Patriots. I honestly wasn’t sure this team would get two victories all season. Frankly, this is a bad thing as it hurts potential draft position. And it’s not like the Jets have beaten good teams, they are just pseudo-state champions of Florida in beating the visiting Dolphins and Jaguars the past two weeks. No, the Jets don’t play Tampa Bay in 2017. Cleveland was dominated right from the start in its Week 4 31-7 home loss to Cincinnati. The Dolphins and Browns are the only teams with zero points off turnovers to this point of the season. I don’t think Cleveland goes 0-16 and don’t expect it to win a road game, so I almost have to take the Browns here.

  • Jets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win.
  • Favorite is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

An utter lack of offensive talent will be on the field Sunday. Cleveland QB DeShone Kizer is regressing. He threw for just 118 yards and a pick in the loss to Cincinnati. Until he was pulled with 6:30 left in the game, the Browns had 152 yards total offense. His eight interceptions lead the NFL after four games, as do his nine turnovers.  Kizer also has a terrible group of receivers. In fact, backup running back Duke Johnson is the team's leading receiver in catches (20) and yards (207). The Jets have reached 20 points three times, which is moderately surprising. QB Josh McCown has been serviceable and Bilal Powell blew up for 163 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries vs. the Jags. McCown was Cleveland’s QB last year in a 31-28 loss to the Jets. He threw for 341 yards and two scores.

  • Under is 4-1 in Jets last 5 games overall.
  • Under is 6-0 in Browns last 6 home games.
