So far Week 5 has been a week to forget for our NFL Picks and prop betting. However, Monday Night Football brings us one last chance to turn things around and get back some of the profits. Here are two valuable player props for Monday night!

Cameron Brate O/U 40.5 receiving yards

Cameron Brate is quickly becoming one of Jameis Winston’s favorite targets. While Vincent Jackson seems to be slowing fading out of the offense, Brate has almost taken over as the number two receiver in the Bucs’ offense.

Brate has 18 targets in the Bucs’ last two games and he now has over 110 yards receiving in his last two contests. Now on Monday night, against an offense without their starting quarterback and running back, the Bucs are going to have a lot of opportunities to score the ball and control the time of possession in this one.

However, the Bucs are also going to be without their top two running backs in this game. While Jacquizz Rodgers stands to get some work at running back, Brate might dominate the short game in this one.

The main reason I like him tonight though isn’t his targets or potential for a few extra looks, it’s how bad the Panthers have been against tight ends so far this season. Through four games the Panthers have given up four touchdowns and an average of 75 yards to opposing tight ends over the last three weeks. That ranks in the bottom five in defense against the tight end, so with Brate playing well and the likely recipient of about 10 targets, look for the over for your Thursday night football prop pick.

Fozzy Whittaker O/U 27.5 receiving yards

Even though the Panthers are playing this one at home, without Cam Newton and without their starting running back, the Bucs could easily come in and surprise them. If the Panthers fall behind, there is going to be a lot of throwing and with Derek Anderson in the game, there might be a lot of throwing to the running backs.

Cameron Artis-Payne is an intriguing talent, but Fozzy Whittaker is going to be in the game on third down and maybe even more than that. Plus, Artis-Payne has been completely unimpressive so far this season, which leaves the door open for Whittaker to get a few extra touches.

He has 155 receiving yards this season and after a nine catch and 86-yard performance last week, I think the over is the play here as well. So far this season, the Bucs have given up the seventh most receiving yards to opposing running backs at 238, which is an average of nearly 60 per game. Whittaker should have at least half that in receiving yards tonight.
