We crashed and burned on our last four NFL team props, but while I’m hitting a slight cold streak, I am ready to pick myself up, dusting myself off and ready to release my Week 4 team props for the Sunday slate of NFL Odds!

Cleveland Browns O/U 18.5 points

Swinging Johnson and I talked about this on our podcast picks battle, but ultimately, the Browns are not as bad on offense as the mainstream football community would have you believe. They may have lost the appeal of a potential Josh Gordon comeback, but even with Cody Kessler, Hue Jackson has found a way to make this offense work.

It starts with a good ground game and some trickery to throw the ball deep. It’s exactly what he did in Cincinnati to make the Bengals an offensive powerhouse last season. While Jackson doesn’t have anywhere near the talent in Cleveland, Terrelle Pryor gives them a nice weapon alongside the running game and tight end Gary Barnidge. Even though they lost Corey Coleman last week, I still expect this offense to put up 20 points or more against this poor Redskins defense.

At the beginning of the season, it looked like the Redskins’ defense would have some staying power. However, they rank as one of the worst defenses against the pass this year and overall. Plus, they lost safety DeAngelo Hall for the season and their second and third corners behind Josh Norman are also both out this week. There is going to be a lot of passing in this one and the Browns should get to 20 or more because of it.

Baltimore Ravens O/U 24.5 points

Speaking of undervalued AFC North teams, the Ravens are at home this week up against the Oakland Raiders in what could be a high-scoring game. The Raiders’ defense has been nowhere close to improved this season in the secondary, as they have allowed a ton of production to opposing passing games.

The Ravens’ defense on the other hand has been pretty good so far this season. They rank as the seventh best defense in the metrics I look at and they have been especially good against the pass.

Oakland on the other hand ranks 29th in overall defense this season according to advanced metrics. They have been better against the run though and with Baltimore’s run game lacking some (they might start Terrence West in an attempt to remedy that this week) they may be passing the ball a lot this week. Look for them to put up at least 27 points against the visiting Raiders this week for your NFL week 4 picks.
