On paper, it looks like one of the biggest mismatches of Week 3 when Pittsburgh makes a rare trip to the Windy City. But they don't play football on paper.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears (+7, 45.5)

The Steel Curtain vs. the Monsters of the Midway! Yeah, not exactly. Neither Pittsburgh's nor Chicago's defense is close to those legendary teams of old. Survivor Pick: Pittsburgh.

You never complain when you are 2-0, but the Steelers aren't particularly excited at this point because they haven't been clicking on all cylinders offensively yet. For example, Le'Veon Bell, who is in a contract year, is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. The Steelers' 40-point offensive start through two games can be traced partly to the team's 2.8 yards per carry. Ben Roethlisberger, who has a rating of 99.9 so far, got his 125th regular-season win in Week 2. That's behind only Tom Brady (184) and Drew Brees (131) among active quarterbacks. Roethlisberger is the seventh quarterback in league history to hit the 125 mark. About the only thing to be said positive about the Bears is they nearly upset Atlanta in Week 1. Last week, the team truly didn't show up in being utterly dominated in Tampa Bay. Mike Glennon was a turnover machine and the Windy City already wants to see rookie No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky.

  • Steelers are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up win.
  • Bears are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games in September.

Pittsburgh's defense has played very well in surrendering 18 points to the Browns and then just nine to the Vikings. To be fair, the QBs seen by that unit have been rookie DeShone Kizer and journeyman Case Keenum. Bears coach John Fox says he is sticking with Glennon as his starter, but this can't last much longer. And if you are going to pull Glennon and put the rookie in, you do it at home. It's not all Glennon's fault as Bears receivers lead the league in drops by a mile and are comprised of a bunch of guys you have never heard of. Plus top running back Jordan Howard is banged up. As is the offensive line. This is the Bears' third straight season starting 0-2. The last time they started 0-2 in 3 straight seasons was from 1965-1969 (5 in row).

  • Over is 9-3 in Steelers last 12 games in Week 3.
  • Over is 11-5 in Bears last 16 games in September.
