We once again made the sportsbooks our bitch with our team props for Week 3 of the NFL and I am not finished yet. I have two more for the Monday Night Football showdown between the Falcons and Saints.

Falcons O/U 13 points 1H
The Saints are very banged up on defense heading into this one but even as bad as they’ve been over the years on defense when the Falcons come to town, they get amped. These two teams were handed a gift by the Vikings on Sunday, beating the Panthers. Now these two teams see that the division might be within their reach.

That could mean the Saints’ defense steps up here some in the early parts of Monday night’s game. While I doubt they will slow down the Falcons enough for the entire game, the Falcons and Matt Ryan haven’t exactly lit up the first halves of the games they have played in New Orleans over the last three seasons.

In their last three trips to the Big Easy, the Falcons are averaging only 10 points in the first half of those three games. They have not topped 13 points in the first half of their games in New Orleans since 2012 and considering the Saints might play the time of possession game here, I doubt the Falcons get to 14 or more in the first half.

There is also the possibility of the Falcons running the hell out of the ball in the first half of this one. They have an excellent running game and if they can slow down the pace and keep the ball out of Drew Brees’ hand, it might be a low scoring first half and the Falcons might put themselves into a position to win the game. With that in mind, take the under for your NFL week 3 predictions.

Total Made Field Goals O/U 3.5
This one is a bit risky considering we could see a touchdown-fest in this game, but with the way these two offenses have been playing so far, the odds of a lot of field goals to go with those touchdowns might be a pretty good play.

Right now Bovada, now offering 100% Cash Bonus, has the field goal total for this one at 3.5 and with the way these two teams have been kicking so far, I like the over in this one.

Matt Bryant has once again been steady for Atlanta, making all five of his attempts through two games. Bryant’s leg is constant for the Falcons, but this season the Saints have brought in Wil Lutz. The young New Orleans kicker has been a little shaky, but he has still nailed four field goals on seven attempts. If he can get the jitters out of the way kicking in doors at home tonight, the over here is a great play considering the offense we might be in store for.
