It’s already Week 3 of the NFL season and there is a lot to digest from the last two weeks. Even with the start of Week 3 still a few days away, here are some early predictions to help you start handicapping the Week 3 NFL Odds.

Patriots will still cover even if Jimmy Garoppolo doesn’t play
Think the sportsbooks know something about Jimmy Garoppolo’s injury that the betting public doesn’t? Who cares? Right now the Patriots are set to take on the Houston Texans on Thursday night and they may have to turn to Jacoby Brissett, a rookie third-round pick from NC State.

Even if that is the case, however, I could still easily see the Patriots covering and/or winning this game outright. The sportsbooks still have the Patriots as home dogs in this one, with the best odds coming from 5Dimes at +2 ½ -110.

Brock Osweiler and company are going to have their hands full with this Patriots’ defense, especially on short rest. Plus, Ed Werder just reported this morning that the Pats are holding out hope that Garoppolo can play, which would surely shift the NFL Odds back in New England’s favor. Stay tuned, but I think there is value on the Pats right now, especially if Garoppolo ends up playing.

New York and Odell Beckham will beat up on Washington and Josh Norman
The New York Giants are the real deal and they are about to prove it again in Week 3. They are already 2-0 and on Sunday they get a matchup at home against the Redskins. The Giants are only as -4 ½ favorites, the NFL Odds undervaluing them yet again.

Even though they are 0-1-1 ATS so far this season, they should be in line for their first cover of the season on Sunday. The Redskins’ offense is beatable, especially with an improved Giants defense, while on the flip side, the Giants’ offense should shred Washington’s defense, even if Norman slows down Beckham.

The Colts will go 0-3
I said it before the season, the Colts will either go 10-6 and win the division, or 6-10 and get everyone fired. After two weeks, it looks like the latter. The Colts’ defense has been shredded for 73 points in two weeks and Andrew Luck has been sacked seven times in those two games, better take this in consideration for your NFL predictions.

The Chargers’ defense is better than the public believes and their young offense is still playing well even after the loss of Keenan Allen. The Chargers almost beat the Chiefs on the road in Week 1 and they might just beat the Colts in Indy in Week 3. They are +3 road dogs at the sportsbooks right now.
