We had a great start to the season with our NFL Player Props and we cashed one and pushed one on Thursday to improve our season-long record once again. Sunday is here again and it’s time to lock in two more winning player props.

AJ Green O/U 6 receptions
A.J. Green had a huge day against the Jets and Darrelle Revis in Week 1 and now he has a tough test against an improved Steelers secondary. However, no matter how good the Steelers’ defense is, Green has always been targeted heavily when he and the Bengals play the Steelers.

In his last seven games against the Steelers dating back to the end of his sophomore season in the league, Green has averaged 15 targets per game against Pittsburgh. He has dominated them too, grabbing a total of 61 catches, 806 yards, and three touchdowns.

Even though he is still capable of being contained, the volume and catch rate (58 percent) from those recent performances alone is enough to play the over on this one, but with Tyler Eifert still out and the Bengals likely playing from behind in this one, the over is too compelling from Bovada, even with the heavy chalk. While -140 isn’t the greatest, it might be a great NFL Week 2 pick to help us cash some winning tickets.

Victor Cruz O/U 42.5 receiving yards
The Giants and Saints game is going to likely be the highest scoring game of the week for Week 2. There is not a lot of defense coming from the Saints and the New Orleans offense looks revitalized this season, making for another good matchup against the Giants defense.

Enter Victor Cruz, who has been out of football for basically the last two seasons with injuries, but is back and healthy. He could be the missing piece to make this Giants’ offense good enough to make a deep postseason run like they have done time and again as underdogs.

Cruz caught a touchdown in Week 1 as part of a four catch and 34-yard performance in Week 1. Now going up against the Saints defense, Cruz will surely be targeted at least six or seven times.

Plus, the Saints are going to be all over Odell Beckham Jr., likely putting him into double coverage often. Chances are that if Beckham sees a loaded up defense on his side, Cruz is a threat to go for 25 yards or more on any given play. If the old Cruz is really back, I love the odds for his over here.

The Saints defense gave up 319 yards to Derek Carr and the Raiders last week, with Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree accounting for 223 of those yards. I could easily see a scenario where Beckham is over 100 yards in Week 2, while Cruz plays the Crabtree role and racks up 60 or 70 yards. The sheer volume and opportunity for Cruz make this a solid play for Sunday.
