The Bills still have a glimmer of hope to end the longest playoff drought in the NFL, while the Dolphins are playing out the string. Survivor Pick: Miami.

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (+2.5, 43)

This game was flexed from 1 p.m. ET to 4:25 as the Bills look for a postseason berth for the first time this century. Buffalo did itself no favors in Week 16, losing 37-16 at New England. Not sure if it would have mattered, but on review a 4-yard TD catch Kelvin Benjamin was overturned on review and it sure seemed as if the Bills got jobbed. The play would have given the Bills a 16-13 lead before an extra point attempt with two seconds left before halftime. Instead, it was tied 13-all at the half after a Stephen Hauschka field goal. The Pats outscored Buffalo 24-3 in the second half. There are two ways for Buffalo to earn a wild-card spot: a victory and Ravens home loss to Cincinnati, which isn’t likely, OR a Bills victory and a Titans loss at home to Jacksonville AND a Chargers home loss to Oakland, which is on a short week and has squat to play for. So it doesn’t look good for the Bills. The Dolphins were eliminated from playoff contention in their 29-13 loss at Kansas City on Sunday. The Fins will finish with a losing record for the eighth time since 2006. If this grows to 3 points by the time you read this, buy it down to 2.5.

  • Favorite is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 meetings.
  • Dolphins are 2-6-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Just two weeks ago, the Dolphins lost in Buffalo 24-16. The Bills intercepted Jay Cutler to end Miami's first two possessions of the second half. Then, rookie Tre'Davious White sealed the win with an interception with 28 seconds remaining. Cutler was 5-of-15 for 90 yards and three interceptions on passes thrown 10-plus yards downfield. Tyrod Taylor was 17 of 29 for 224 yards and a touchdown. He added 42 yards rushing and scored on a 9-yard run in a game Buffalo never trailed. This almost surely will be Cutler’s last game in a Dolphins uniform as he was lured out of retirement on a one-year, $10 million deal. He’s just not very good. It could well be the last game in a Bills uniform for Taylor, too, as only $1 million of his $10 million base salary in 2018 is fully guaranteed. It seems like first-year coach Greg McDermott wants to find someone else as he started fifth-round rookie Nathan Peterman ahead of a healthy Taylor earlier this year. All Peterman did was throw five first-half picks in a loss to the Chargers – a defeat that could keep Buffalo out of the playoffs.

  • Over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.
  • Over is 8-2 in Dolphins last 10 games overall.
