Only a couple of games in Week 16 that feature teams currently in the playoffs and this is one of them as the Rams look to clinch an unlikely NFC West title. Survivor Pick: Tennessee.

Los Angeles Rams at Tennessee Titans (+6.5, 48)

Los Angeles will clinch the NFC West with a win/tie against the Titans, or a Seahawks loss/tie. The Rams will clinch a playoff berth if these three things happen: Lions loss/tie, Panthers loss, Falcons loss. The Titans will clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Rams combined with a Ravens loss and a Bills loss. Tennessee can still win the AFC South with a win here and next week vs. Jacksonville as long as the Jags lose this week in San Francisco. Should Jacksonville win in Week 16 before losing to Tennessee, the Titans can also stay ahead of the Ravens for No. 5 should both teams finish 10-6 thanks to a head-to-head tiebreaker. Why do I like Tennessee here? The Rams figure to be a bit flat off an absolutely shocking destruction of the Seahawks in Seattle – the 42-7 wipeout was the worst Seahawks loss under Pete Carroll. That was a changing of the guard victory in the NFC West. Plus, you have the fact the Rams have to fly across country and play in a 10 a.m. Pacific time kickoff. The Rams have just one road loss but that was in an early kickoff in Minnesota. Tennessee, meanwhile, lost Week 1 at home to Oakland but hasn’t tasted defeat in Nashville since.

  • Rams are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.
  • Titans are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota will be glad to be back home as his offense struggled in back-to-back losses in Arizona and San Francisco. His No. 1 receiver, Rishard Matthews, believes that the team should go more up-tempo and let Mariota call plays at the line: "I’d rather have Marcus calling the shots," Matthews said. "There’s proof in the success when that happens. I’d like to do no-huddle more. I know we’d all like to do it more. We definitely talk about it a lot. Sometimes we go into it a lot. Sometimes we don’t.” In the team’s first three drives last week against the Niners in which they switched largely to a no-huddle, the Titans put up 17 points and gained 225 yards on 32 offensive plays. Titans sack leader Derrick Morgan is expected to return this week after missing the last two games with a knee sprain. Meanwhile, Rams running back Todd Gurley likely won a lot of fantasy playoff games for his owners last week. In the blowout of Seattle, he rushed for 153 rushing yards had 28 receiving yards and four total touchdowns despite participating in just nine second-half plays. Gurley ranks first in the NFL in rushing TDs (13) and scrimmage TDs (17), second in scrimmage yards (1,817), third in rushing yards (1,187), and second among running backs in receiving yards (630). He is the only player to score three-plus scrimmage TDs in multiple games (2) this season.

  • Over is 6-1 in Rams last 7 road games.
  • Over is 4-1 in Titans last 5 home games.
