I’ll be in attendance to this crap-fest of a game tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium, and while it may not be the best game, there is value in the prop odds from Bovada sportsbook if you want to make a little coin on Thursday Night Football.
Usually, the Broncos’ passing game isn’t that prolific, so you may be wondering why I am on a prop for Cody Latimer, the Broncos’ third receiver. Well, it’s many reasons, but the main one is that the Colts’ defense is so bad, and Latimer is having a homecoming of sorts.
The Colts can’t cover receivers to save their lives, and they have allowed over 2200 receiving yards to wideouts so far this season. If you take away snowpocalypse from last week, the Colts gave up 200-plus yards to the Jags’ receivers the week before. However, they have also allowed fewer than 100 receiving yards to wideouts in two of the last three weeks.
However, if the Colts’ secondary doesn’t come to play, the Broncos should have little trouble tonight getting the ball to Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, and Latimer down the field.
Latimer is much more effective down the field, and one big play is all we need to cash the over tonight. The Broncos could get out to a lead against this Colts team as well, but I think the Broncos will make it their mission to get the ball to Latimer.
That’s because Latimer played his college ball right down the road in Bloomington, Indiana. Latimer is one of the higher drafted receivers out of Indiana in the last few years, and he should get a few extra looks just to remind Hoosier fans about his skillset. Latimer has a catch of 21 yards or more in four of his last six games, and in his Hoosier homecoming tonight, I could see him getting a couple of catches downfield to cash the over for us.
