The final stretch of the NFL regular season is upon us, and we have hit the weekend, which means it’s time once again for my prop betting series. These two team props are both courtesy of Bet365 sportsbook, and I think both have incredible profit potential.

Team touchdowns

The Carolina Panthers are going up against the Jets this week in Charlotte, and while the Jets may have a great defense, when they go on the road, things get shaky some times. They still have the best run defense in the NFL on the road, however their pass defense gets rough when away from New Jersey, and it might get even rougher this week.

The Jets are looking like they’ll be without Antonio Cromartie this week. He has not practiced all week, and his absence would shake up an already bad secondary on the road. Cam Newton and the Carolina offense should have a great game, and that’s why I am taking the Panthers’ TD total and going over.

At Bet365, you can pick the touchdown total and the NFL Odds associated with it. While 4.5 touchdowns for Carolina is a bit too high, I think the value is still there with going ‘over’ 3.5 touchdowns. The potential payout for such a wager is +140, and considering the Panthers’ ability to score when playing at home, the value is through the roof.

If you take away their Week 1 game between the Panthers and Seahawks, in their last five home games, the Panthers are averaging over 30 points per game. Even against the Jets’ defense, I think the Panthers will score at least four touchdowns. I expect a big game from Cam Newton on Sunday. In their last five homes games, Newton has 10 passing and three rushing touchdowns, only five interceptions, and over 200 yards passing per game.

NFL Pick: Panthers ‘Over’ 3.5 TDs (+140)

49ers vs. Bucs

The best game for this prop this week has to be the 49ers and Bucs from Tampa. The long flight is going to affect the 49ers one way or another, and I think it might be on offense. The Niners are already the worst road passing offense in the NFL, and the Bucs’ defense has started to play very well at home. On the other side, the Niners have one of the best road defenses in the NFL, ranking 4th against the run and 3rd against the pass when playing away from San Francisco.

Both of these offenses are going to want to run the ball, and I expect a lower scoring game, with plenty of hard hits, and not a lot of run away scoring. The Niners on the road will be slowed down by the Bucs’ defense, while the Bucs’ offense is not going to go nuts against San Francisco.

While Tampa is only 2-4 cashing the ‘No’ with this prop this season, this is the type of game is where it looks good. Even though the Niners have scored three unanswered times against their opponents plenty this season, in their last ten games, their defense has allowed three unanswered scores only once.

While it may not be enough to label a three or four star bet, this wager is good enough for one or two stars because the value is through the roof. A ‘No’ bet on this prop holds a price of +170 for your NFL picks, which would be a game changing cash this week.
