It’s the second straight Thursday game for each of these NFC East rivals as they attempt to stay playoff relevant. Survivor Pick: Dallas.

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys (-1.5, 44)

Dallas goes for a second straight season sweep in the series. In Week 8 in Maryland, the Cowboys won 33-19. Ezekiel Elliott dominated with 150 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries; of course, he’s in the midst of a six-game suspension now. Kirk Cousins passed for 263 yards for Washington but threw a pick (returned for a score) and lost a fumble – the Skins had three turnovers on a rainy day and had a field-goal try blocked that led to a Cowboys TD. Both 5-6 teams come off Thanksgiving games with very different results. Dallas lost its third straight in blowout fashion, 28-6 against the Chargers. That Cowboys defense was gashed for 515 yards. Meanwhile, Dallas managed 247 yards and Dak Prescott was picked off twice. Jason Garrett’s seat is getting warmer! Washington salvaged some wild-card hopes by beating the visiting Giants 20-10 in the prime-time Turkey Day game to end a two-game skid. Cousins threw for 242 yards and two scores, with Jamison Crowder catching seven balls for 141 yards and a TD. Rookie Samaje Perine stepped up in the place of an injured Chris Thompson with 130 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown.

  • Redskins are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings in Dallas.
  • Cowboys are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games.

The Cowboys simply aren’t close to the same team without Elliott as they have totaled 22 points in the three-game skid without him – Elliott won’t be back until Christmas Eve, and then it will likely be too late for this season. Prescott is the fourth QB in the last decade to make three straight starts with his team scoring fewer than 10 points in each game. The others are Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell and Zach Mettenberger. Those guys are all clowns. It’s the first time in Cowboys history they have failed to score at least 10 points in three straight. Washington’s defense had been gashed the previous two weeks before holding the Giants to those 10 points. I think that’s more because New York stinks on offense than Washington doing anything new defensively. New York set season lows for total yards (170), yards per pass attempt (3.19) and yards per play (3.09). Still, you can’t go over in any Dallas game right now.

  • Under is 5-2 in Redskins last 7 games following a ATS win.
  • Under is 4-0 in Cowboys last 4 games overall.
