No need for NBC to flex out of this Sunday night’s matchup as it’s a good one and potential playoff preview between the Eagles and Seahawks. Survivor Pick: Seattle.

Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle Seahawks (+5.5, 47)

The last time Seattle was a home underdog of more than one point (that one point was a couple of weeks ago in a Monday night loss to Atlanta)? That was Oct. 24, 2012, against the New England Patriots. The Seahawks were +4 against Tom Brady & Co. and won 24-23. There was a famous picture after of Richard Sherman trash-talking Brady. Seattle rallied for 14 points in the final 7:31 for the comeback victory. Before that Falcons loss in Week 11, Seattle had covered its past six as a home dog. Pete Carroll has fared well when he's a big underdog at home. Since he took over as coach in 2010, the Seahawks have been an underdog of three or more points 13 times, and they've gone 9-4 SU and 11-2 ATS. Seattle also won the past three vs. the Eagles. Last year in Week 11, Seattle won 26-15 at home. Russell Wilson threw for 272 yards and a touchdown, and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Doug Baldwin – Wilson became the first QB in franchise history with a touchdown catch. Carson Wentz threw for 218 yards with two touchdowns and two picks. These Eagles are leaps and bounds better than that club with the best record in the NFL and on a nine-game winning streak.

  • Eagles are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
  • Seahawks are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games in December.

Led by NFL MVP candidate Wentz, the Eagles have outscored their last seven opponents by a total of 149 points, or an average of 21.3 points per game. Overall, they have a plus-160 point differential, which is tops in the league and fifth among all NFL teams since 2000. Philadelphia leads the NFL with 351 points, the most through 11 games in franchise history. The Eagles have won 3 straight games by 28 points for the first time. Finally, Philly has scored 30 points in five consecutive games (longest active streak in the NFL), which is tied for the 2nd-longest streak in franchise history. Wentz has thrown multiple TDs in 7 consecutive games, joining Donovan McNabb in 2006 as the only Eagles QBs to accomplish that feat in a single season. Seattle used to be terrific on defense, but that’s no longer the case with defensive backs Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor out for the season. Wilson, meanwhile, is playing perhaps his best football as he’s among the league leaders in passing yards and touchdowns while also killing teams with his feet. Wilson has accounted for almost 86 percent of Seattle's scrimmage yards. That would be the highest percentage for any player in the Super Bowl era. Wilson has either thrown or rushed for all but one of Seattle's 27 offensive touchdowns.

  • Over is 14-3 in Eagles last 17 road games.
  • Over is 5-0 in Seahawks last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
