What do the Broncos and Dolphins have in common this year? Two disappointing seasons with major questions at quarterback. Survivor Pick: Miami.

Denver Broncos at Miami Dolphins (Pick’em, 38)

Current Dolphins coach Adam Gase is a former Denver offensive coordinator. He left there when John Fox was pushed out and then followed Fox to Chicago for one season before landing the Dolphins gig before last season. The Broncos’ first-year head coach is Vance Joseph, who might be one-and-done if things don’t start getting better. Denver is on a seven-game losing streak. Some around the NFL were shocked that John Elway hired Joseph in the first place. He had only been a coordinator for one year and Miami’s defense statistically wasn’t that great in 2016. So who will be Denver’s QB here? It will be back to Trevor Siemian. Paxton Lynch got his first start of the year in Sunday’s 21-14 loss in Oakland but left with a high-ankle sprain. Lynch stayed down after a 1-yard completion to Emmanuel Sanders with just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter. He is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. In relief of Lynch, Siemian was 11-for-21 for 149 yards and two scores. Siemian, who won the job in training camp, was benched after the Oct. 30 loss to the Chiefs for Brock Osweiler. Osweiler was then replaced by Lynch after three starts.

  • Broncos are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  • Broncos are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

Miami dropped tis fifth straight game Sunday, 35-17 at New England. It’s the team’s longest slide since 2011, near the end of the Tony Sparano era. Gase’s predecessor, Joe Philbin, never endured such a dismal stretch. They’ve been outscored 177-82 during the losing streak, and by 115 points this season — second-worst in the NFL ahead of only Cleveland. Matt Moore started for a second game in a row as Jay Cutler – a former Bronco – was out with a concussion. Moore completed 23 of 34 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown, but also had two interceptions. He was sacked seven times. Cutler is expected to get his starting job back if he’s out of the concussion protocol. Running back Damien Williams went down with a shoulder injury against the Patriots and will miss at least this week. Kenyan Drake will take over as the featured back. He has to considering he’s the only healthy tailback on the roster as of this writing. This one could end in a baseball score.

  • Under is 6-1 in Broncos last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
  • Under is 10-4 in Broncos last 14 games following a straight up loss.
