Plenty of good seats available at Levi’s Stadium for this abomination of a game that is clearly Toilet Bowl 2017! Please, end in a tie. Survivor Pick: NY Giants.

New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers (+2.5, 41.5)

Here’s something you don’t see every day: a 1-7 team favored on the road. But with the 49ers at 0-9, it makes sense. Unfortunately for football fans, winless San Francisco and Cleveland don’t play this year. So this will have to settle for the worst matchup on paper in 2017. It’s actually more important than most other games simply because of the 2018 draft. As of now, the 49ers would draft first, the Browns second and the Giants third. If New York wins here, there’s no way the Giants are getting the first overall pick because they’d lose a tiebreaker to the 49ers and Cleveland’s not winning two games. I’m surprised New York coach Ben McAdoo is still employed after last week’s 51-17 loss coming out of the bye week to the Rams. It was the most points allowed at home by Big Blue since 1964. The Giants are actually a solid 3-1 ATS on the road, while the 49ers are 1-3 ATS at home. While Eli Manning isn’t what he used to be, you still have to take him over San Francisco third-round rookie C.J. Beathard, who has been one of the NFL’s lowest-rated quarterbacks since taking over for since-released Brian Hoyer.

Giants are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.

49er are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home games.

Free NFL Pick: Giants -2.5

Best Line Offered: GT Bets

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3193167, "sportsbooksIds":[1602,123,19,1389,186], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

McAdoo made some noise this week that he would consider benching Manning should the Giants keep losing. On one hand, that makes sense because this season is over and it could be time for New York to get a look at its third-round rookie, Davis Webb. On the other hand, you can’t blame Manning for all the injuries at receiver, a porous offensive line and crappy running game. The Giants reportedly are scouting quarterbacks to potentially take with their Top 5 pick in next year’s draft so this could be the final year for Manning. Meanwhile, the Niners last week traded for Jimmy Garoppolo, but Coach Kyle Shanahan doesn’t want to blame him until Jimmy G knows the offense and the O-line is fully healthy to protect him. So it’s Beathard again, although Garoppolo would have to play if the former Iowa star gets injured. San Francisco has scored exactly 10 points in three straight games. I see a trend.

Under is 9-4 in Giants last 13 road games.

Under is 19-8 in 49ers last 27 home games

Free NFL Pick: Under 41.5

Best Line Offered: BetDSI

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3193167, "sportsbooksIds":[123,180,238,1275,92], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
