Week 10 of the NFL is another week of hefty byes, and tough betting odds. Here are some of the opening odds across the globe, and some of these could make for some nice early week NFL Picks.

Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The NFL odds are opening up for Thursday night in favor of the Bengals at -6, with a total of 44 ½. The Browns edged out the Bucs this past week although it wasn’t pretty, while the Bengals beat the Jaguars by ten points. Now they play one another on short rest, and the game is going to come down to defense. Both teams’ defenses have been solid at times this season, and both have looked pretty bad other times. Whoever plays better defense in this one is going to cover, and as we’ve seen on Thursday nights so far, defense is hard to come by on short rest.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs head into Buffalo to face a rested Bills team, and even though there has been no word on the health of Buffalo’s run game, they are favored in the NFL Odds at some books. However some books have the line as a pick em', and if that’s the case later in the week, I really like the Chiefs here, even though the Bills had the week off and are at home. Right now most shops have the line at -1 ½ or -2 in favor of the road team.

San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints
This should be one of the better games of the entire Week 10 schedule, and the NFL odds are actually favoring the Saints after the Niners’ loss to the Rams. However I’m not reading as much into that loss as the sportsbooks are. The NFL Odds are favoring the Saints at -4 ½, which is a huge amount against a still very good Niners team. The Saints’ defense is nothing compared to the Rams defense, and it will show this week. I’m leaning towards San Francisco for my NFL pick.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Bucs
Another interesting opening line is the Falcons and Bucs facing off in an NFC South divisional battle. The NFL Odds have the Falcons as a pick em' at most shops including 5Dimes, and much like the Chiefs on the road, they may not be a bad play here. The Bucs’ defense still didn’t look that great even against the offense of the Browns this week, and if Atlanta can run the ball steadily, they will win this game. However running on the Bucs has proven difficult this season.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
Both the Packers and Bears were on bye last week, and now they get to face off against one another on Sunday Night Football. This is a very important game for both clubs, and the NFL Odds seemingly reflect that. Right now sportsbooks have the Packers as a -7 favorite, with a large total of 53 ½. The Packers have owned the Bears in the recent past, and now on a long week, at home and against Chicago, it’s hard to believe that the Packers won’t have a big game here. Even as a Bears fan, I would recommend laying the -7 with the Packers early in the week, because this line is going nowhere but up.
