Injuries have played a major role in the games thus far this season and we'll have to see how they affect today's matchups. Here are your value plays for NFL Week 6

Washngton Redskins vs. New York Jets
This appears to be a really good matchups for the 3-1 New York Jets, who are coming off of the bye week. They've had a week to rest off of their victory over the Miami Dolphins in England while there's a lot of issues with the Washngton Redskns.

For the Skins, Kirk Cousins is their man behind center and according to former New England Patriot and commentator, Rodney Harrison, Robert Griffin III is a bad person and a bad fit. Even though Harrison doesn't play for the Redskins, it's very telling.

The Skins have had to endure injuries. Jake Reed has had a spectacular start to the season at tight end but will continue to be out with an injury for the 2nd week in a row and Alfred Morris has had to split duties at running back with Matt Jones.

Although Jones has had some decent moments, in my opinion, Morris is still the man. DeSean Jackson was also looking to come back from injury, but it looks like he'll be back next week. At 2-3, the Redskins are just 1 game behind the New York Giants and can ill-afford to lose a game, but the Jets have been nearly unstoppable.

The New Improved Jets
The Jets defense was supposed to be so good under Rex Ryan, but it's even better under Todd Bowles as they allow just under 14 points per game.

It all starts with the quarterbacking of Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is the perfect fit for this team.Behind. Fitzpatrick is Chris Ivory, who is having a spectacular season at running back. Ivory has rushed for 314 yards and 3 TD's in just 4 games and that has opened up things for the passing game game where Brandon Marshall has been a beast. Marshall has averaged 100 yards receiving per game. The Jets defense is going to give the Washington passing game a ton of trouble and New York should win this game quite easily at home.

NFL Pick: New York -6.5 at 5Dimes

San Diego Chargers vs. Green Bay Packers: San Diego Has Been Snake Bitten
If any of you saw the return of Antonio Gates last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, you would've saw that Phillip Rivers is happy to have him back. Maybe Keenan Allen lost some numbers, but Gates being back is huge for a big-time Chargers offense. I think people expect Green Bay to walk all over the Chargers, but San Diego is getting a ton of points and the way that they lost last week was a travesty as they owned that game.

Green Bay has a problem stopping the run and rookie, Melvin Gordon is still looking for that elusive 1st touchdown of his NFL career. I have a feeling that the combination of Woodhead and Gordon will be very effective this week. Effective enough to keep the Chargers within the double-figure point spread as San Diego is not as bad as their 2-3 record indicates. Take the Bolts at Lombardi Field.

NFL Pick: San Diego +10 at William Hill

Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle SeahawksSeahawks Have Been a Disappointment
If you take away 1 play in where a ball was illegally batted out of the endzone and not called by the referees against a winless Lions club, the Seattle Seahawks would be 1-4. What baffles me is why Jimmy Graham doesn't get the ball thrown his way. He's supposed to be the 2nd best tight end in the NFL and to Russell Wilson, he's a 4th or 5th option if that.

Marshawn Lynch Returns
This is huge for Seattle, especially at home. Lynch excels as home and with Kam Chancellor back for a second week in the secondary, I expect this to be a different Seattle football team. Lynch is a bruiser and the Seahawks must have a big game from him to balance out the running and passing game. Rawls was decent, but "Beast Mode", Skittles Man" is better.

Carolina is 4-0
The Panthers have been a new improved bunch, led by quarterback, Cam Newton. This is a team that hasn't scored under 20 points in a game. If I remember clearly, the last time they came to Seattle, they weren't nearly as good in the playoffs and still gave Seattle a tough time.

There's nothing spectacular about Newton's numbers, but he has been able to find tight end, Greg Olson, have Jonathan Stewart and Ted Ginn Jr. provide production at the running back position and most importantly, avoid turnovers. Newton has 7 passing TD's and 2 INT's and 2 rushing TD's. Carolina will make this a competitive ball game. Make no mistake about it.

NFL Pick: Carolina Panthers +7 at Pinnacle
