Like they used to say on MTV, too much is never enough. We've got our football picks against the spread for all eight games on Saturday's Week 2 preseason slate.
It's a cornucopia of awesomeness. We've got eight games on Saturday's NFL odds board, so let's get right to it, with laser-precise focus on the betting angles that matter most. Begin laser ignition!!
Miami at Carolina (7:00 p.m. ET)
You know the story here: Miami head coach Joe Philbin is 3-10 ATS in preseason play. There was bad news in Carolina Wednesday when WR Kelvin Benjamin (torn ACL) was lost for the season, but that will matter less in Saturday's exhibition game than it will in September.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Panthers PK (+100) at 5Dimes
Baltimore at Philadelphia (7:00 p.m. ET, NFLN)
Baltimore's John Harbaugh is 18-11 ATS in the preseason, including 6-0 ATS in his last six games. Chip Kelly is 5-4 ATS in two-plus seasons with Eagles. We like Philadelphia's QB depth – unleash Tim Tebow! But we'll stick with Baltimore, with an appropriately small bet size.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Ravens +4 at GTBets
Chicago at Indianapolis (7:30 p.m. ET)
Both head coaches have fairly neutral preseason ATS records for their careers, but the Bears beat Miami last week in John Fox's debut, while the Colts came up dry for Chuck Pagano against Philadelphia. Indy has nothing to prove here.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Bears +3 (+102) at Pinnacle
Jacksonville at New York Giants (7:30 p.m. ET)
Tom Coughlin (40-34-1 ATS lifetime) seems to like these games, although his Giants couldn't get the job done in Week 1, while Gus Bradley improved to 5-4 ATS with the Jaguars. Looks like the G-Men have a few too many injuries to belong in our football picks this week.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Jaguars +2.5 (+100) at WagerWeb
New England at New Orleans (7:30 p.m. ET)
Bill Belichick (38-35-1 ATS) has a solid preseason reputation, but Sean Payton (19-13-2 ATS) is even more gung-ho about these exhibition games. We'll give the nod to the healthier Saints in this one.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Saints –1.5 at Bovada
Oakland at Minnesota (8:00 p.m. ET)
Another tough choice: Jack Del Rio is 21-14-2 ATS in preseason games, while Mike Zimmer is 5-1 ATS lifetime and 2-0 ATS this year with the Vikings. This game is more important to Del Rio in his new gig, and the Vikings have been dealing with injuries on the offensive line.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Raiders +4.5 at ABC Islands
Denver at Houston (8:00 p.m. ET)
We've got a big-time preseason coach in Gary Kubiak (20-11-2 ATS) who's leading his new team up against his old team. The Texans are 3-2 SU and ATS under Kubiak's replacement, Bill O'Brien. Advantage: Denver.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Broncos +3 (–125) at BetDSI
San Diego at Arizona (10:00 p.m. ET, NFLN)
The Cardinals enjoy playing under Bruce Arians (5-3-1 ATS), while the Chargers seem fairly indifferent under Mike McCoy (4-4-1 ATS). But the current injury picture is very much in San Diego's favor.
Free NFL Pick: Take the Chargers +3 (–120) at Bookmaker
