Check out these top NFL picks straight up, against the spread & total betting markets before hitting up your choice bookmaker Week 8 to better your chances of turning a profit.

Best SU Pick: Seattle over Dallas
Week 8 of the NFL serves up many intriguing matchups that offer up plenty of value on both sides of the coin in what has been a rather unpredictable – if not transitional –season. If there were one matchup that stands out a sure thing on paper, it would have to be the NFC clash between Seattle and Dallas. The former appear to be rounding out into form after a slow start on the season and are coming off a crucial win over divisional rivals Niners. Their upcoming date with Dallas is another prime opportunity to advantage of a struggling team, all while looking to improve to a 4-4 SU mark and give the Cardinals chase in the NFC West.

Dallas, meanwhile, are in a tailspin since Romo’s injury in week 2, not to mention Dez Bryant’s injury as well. Without their starting quarterback and Bryant, the Cowboys appear to be lost and largely ineffective, without that key one-two punch. They are riding a four-game losing streak since week 2 and running the quarterback carousel going from backup Brandon Weeden to Matt Cassel. We just don’t see how the Cowboys can overcome all their issues to give Seattle a really good fight here. As such, Seattle have to be the smart NFL pick to win outright.

Best ATS Pick: Jets over Raiders
There are several good options for your NFL picks against the spread. We’re settling on the clash between the Jets and Raiders simply because the public seems to be heavy on the Raiders as the home underdogs, albeit sat on merely a field goal line. When there’s an opportunity to fade the public, we’re all over it.  Granted there’s a lot to like about this rebuilt Raiders side, especially after the way it dismantled the Chargers in week 7 NFL betting. However, in the Jets they come up against one of the best defenses in the league that ranks fourth in scoring. As well, the Jets rushing game anchored by Chris Ivory ranks third in the league. It’s safe to say, they’ve been surprising many NFL experts and pundits alike. It’s a long trek across the country to take on a buoyed Raiders side, but only a few weeks ago the Jets were up for the task when they made the trek to London. So don’t be surprised if the Jets run all over the Raiders this weekend.

Best Total Pick: Bucs and Falcons To Go Under 49
The total for this game has been set to a high 49 total at most sportsbooks, which is somewhat surprising considering the Falcons boast a 2-4-1 OVER record this season and a 1-2 OVER record at home. The lone home game that cracked the OVER involved the decimation of the Houston Texans 48-21. Since then, the Falcons have gone 2-1 SU and scored an average of 18.7 points per game. Most recently, they held Tennessee Titans to a 10-7 score in a winning effort on the road. Even Washington gave the Falcons a run for their money in their last home game, knotting up the game 19-19 and forcing overtime. The Falcons did go on to win it 25-19 thanks to a pick-6 by Cousins, but the account as a whole left much to be desired. The Bucs, meanwhile, have a 4-2 OVER record on the season, but those OVERs have come in wins and losses and against so-so teams. Jameis Winston has looked good in his last few games, but the Bucs are coming off a heart breaking 31-30 loss to the Redskins on the road, in which they allowed the Redskins to mount a franchise-record comeback, erasing 24-points, to take the win. This is the second road game in as many weeks and it has the feeling of a let-down in our opinion.

NFL Picks: UNDER 49 (-110) at Pinnacle
