3 Unanswered Scores
The Browns have not beaten the Ravens in the Jim Harbaugh era, which would account for ten straight losses to the team from Baltimore. However this season and this week could be their best chance at getting a win in a long time. Both of these defenses are playing well, but dare I say that with Jason Campbell at QB, the Browns have been slightly better on offense than the defending champions.
I think this will be a defensive day either way, and I doubt either team scores very much, let alone three unanswered times. The Ravens have been awful at scoring in the first half of games, and going on the road into Cleveland is likely not going to solve that. Joe Hayden is going to clamp down on Torrey Smith in this game, and after him, the Ravens haven’t gotten many solid contributors at the skill position. Ray Rice has been invisible for most of the season, and whether that’s on him or the coaching staff, I doubt he plays well against a very good Browns front seven here.
With Cleveland losing three games in a row SU and with their ten-game SU losing streak to the Ravens on the line, I see them playing well enough here to possibly get the win, and definitely good enough to hold the Ravens’ offense at bay. At +120, no 3 unanswered scores seems like a nice value on Sunday.
My Pick: ‘No’ 3 Unanswered Scores (+120) for your NFL picks.
The Titans head into St. Louis to play the banged up Rams, and instead of laying points with the home team here, I have found other value poking out. The Titans are -140 to get to 10 points first in this game, and I think the chalk is worth it here. The Titans’ offense is actually pretty good with Jake Locker under center, and with their running game getting healthy, I see them moving the ball very easily against a bad Rams defense.
The Rams have given up 22 touchdowns so far this season, 14 through the air and 8 on the ground. Also, through their eight games so far this season, the Rams have won the race to 10 points only once. They lost it against the Jaguars in Week 5, and the only team they have beaten to the 10-point mark is the Texans in Week 6.
Tennessee is on the road here, but in the dome, I think Locker is going to have a great game. He is a very underrated quarterback because of his reputation of being fragile and wild, but with his running game going, I like the Titans’ offensive upside. Their defense is another part of their team that is very undervalued, and going up against Kellen Clemens, they should play very well. Take the Titans to get to 10 points first.
My Pick: Titans 1st to 10 points (-140)[gameodds]16/226992/?r-1=19-43-349-192/us[/gameodds]
