We have reached the artificial halfway point of the NFL season, and with that comes bigger games, and hopefully better NFL Odds. Here are some of the bigger games up coming in Week 8, and where I might lean early in the week for my NFL Picks.

Ravens vs. Bengals
Week 7 was not kind to the Bengals, as the Colts blanked them 27-0. However even after that butt kicking, and even after the Ravens took care of the Falcons rather easily, the NFL Odds have the Bengals opening up as -2 ½ favorites, with a total of 46 points. I understand that the Bengals might be going through a slump right now, but they could also be completely out of whack without AJ Green. Even at home, can you trust this team? They have now given up 107 points in three games.

Bears vs. Patriots
What can be said about the Bears other than, “ugh?” In Week 8 the Bears travel into New England to face a well-rested Patriots team, and the NFL Odds have the home team as -6 ½ favorites, with a total of 49 ½. Even after their embarrassing loss last week, the Bears can take solace in knowing that this is a road game, which is the only place the Bears seem to win nowadays. However Tom Brady might end that run for Chicago in Boston.

Rams vs. Chiefs
“Don’t underestimate the Rams,” is a statement I think I’ve muttered a few times this season, and finally people are catching on. After an amazing win over the Super Bowl champs, the Rams have another tough test, this time three hours down the road against the Chiefs. This intrastate battle’s NFL Odds have the Chiefs as -6 favorites, with a very low total of 43 ½. This could actually be a line that goes down before the end of the week, but it will really depend on whether or not the public and sharps start to take the Rams more seriously after this Week 7 win.

Eagles vs. Cardinals
After a bye week in Week 7, the Eagles are heading across the country to Arizona. The NFL Odds have this one at -2 ½ in favor of the Cardinals, with a total of 48 points. Carson Palmer has been lights out since retuning from injury, and he showed it once again this week against the Raiders. Although the Cardinals passing defense is in need of some work, they can likely stay with the Eagles. The total is quite high, but adding to over to your NFL Picks might be a good way to go about betting this game. It is one of the closer matchups of the week, but it also features two of the worst pass defenses in the NFL right now.

Packers vs. Saints
The New Orleans Saints’ playoff chances may be in trouble this season, especially after losing a tough one to the Lions, and now having to welcome in the Packers in Week 8. The NFL Odds have the Packers as +2 underdogs, however 5Dimes currently has the line at a pick em. The total of 54 ½ is going to be as high or even higher than Thursday night’s game between the Chargers and Broncos, and right now the Green Bay moneyline looks like a tempting option for our Week 8 NFL picks
