Week 6 Recap of Total NFL picks
We enjoyed a modest run in week 6 with our total NFL picks, finishing with an 8-6 record when all was said and done. It improves us to 42-48-1 for the season (6 weeks and 91 games). Looking ahead to week 7, we serve up our game-by-game picks with a view to improving our score for the season. So let’s get started.

Seahawks vs. Niners
The NFL betting line opened at 41-points but moves up to as high as 42.5-points ahead of game time. The Niners boast a 4-2 OVER record this season, with most of the half of the OVERs cashing largely down to their shoddy defense in week 2 and 3 allowing 90 points combined. In the last two rounds, they’ve cashed on the OVER behind better offensive accounts. On the flipside, the Seahawks are 3-3 in O/U betting, marred by a string of late game collapses particularly in their last two accounts.

NFL Picks: OVER 42 (-108) at 5Dimes

Bills vs. Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars boast a 4-2 OVER record ahead of week 7, which includes a run of two OVERs cashing and averaging just a smidgen above 25-points per game scored and 35 points conceded. The Bills are 3-3 in O/U betting. A string of injuries on the offensive side of the ball sees average points scored come down drastically – in the last three games they are averaging just 15 points scored. The line opened on 43-points, but has come down to a lowly 41-points already. Tyrod Taylor is still a question mark, which means EJ Manuel gets the start. This game is a complete tossup in our books. However, given the line has come down to 41-points, we’re liking the OVER.

NFL Picks: OVER 41 (-110) at bet365

Falcons vs. Titans
The Falcons boast a 2-3-1 OVER record which includes cashing on the UNDER in week 5 and a Push in week 6’s 31-21 loss that fell smack on the 52 total line. The Titans are riding a four-game losing streak into week 7, which includes a 3-1 OVER record. Overall, they are 4-1 in O/U betting with the only UNDER coming in a losing effort to the Buffalo Bills. It’s not yet known whether Marcus Mariota is going to start on Sunday, which is sure to make a difference on their side of the scoreboard. What we do know is the Titans are leaking 25.8 points per game while the Falcons are scoring an average of 30.5-points per game this game has a good chance of going OVER pre-set totals.

NFL Picks: UNDER 47 (-110) at 5Dimes

Browns vs. Rams
The Browns boast a perfect 6-0 OVER record this season, marking the best OVER record in the league through the first six weeks. Rams, meanwhile, are just 2-3 in O/U betting, which includes cashing on the UNDER in week 5’s 24-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers. By and large, the NFL betting public is expecting a low-scoring affair in this game. We’re of a mind to fade the public and shade the OVER on our NFL picks.

NFL Picks: OVER 41.5 (-110) at 5Dimes

Texans vs. Dolphins
The Texans and Dolphins look to turnaround their seasons by winning a second straight game in week 7. Obviously, there can only be one winner here. The Dolphins perked up under Dan Campbell last week to beat the Titans 38-10 and cash on the OVER 43.5. The Texans, similarly, were energised by Brian Hoyer at quarterback to beat the Jaguars 31-20, cashing on the OVER 43.5. This week they collide with the game nestled on a 44.5-point total. It’s anybody’s guess which way this game between revamped sides will go.

NFL Picks: OVER 44.5 (-110) at Westgate

Vikings vs. Lions
The Lions came to life in week 6 with a 37-34 win over the Bears to clinch their first win of the season. The Lions finally looked to have rhythm on the offensive side of the ball, which augurs well for their divisional clash with the Vikings. The Vikings are consistent UNDER performers this season with a perfect 0-5 record through five games while the Lions are 3-3 in O/U betting. Vikings struggle to put up points, particularly on the road where they are winless in two outings and combined for just 23-points scored (or 11.5-points on average).

NFL Picks: UNDER 44.5 (-110) at Bovada

Saints vs. Colts
By all accounts, this game is shaping up to be a shootout on the NFL odds board between Drew Brees and Andrew Luck. Both the Saints and Colts have struggled on both sides of the ball this season. However, last week each put in a solid offensive account – Saints in a 31-21 winning effort over the Falcons and Colts 34-27 in a losing effort to the Patriots.

NFL Picks: OVER 52 (-110) at bet365

Jets vs. Patriots
The Patriots are coming off another strong showing at the weekend, a 34-27 win over the Colts. They are a perfect 5-0 SU this season with a 16-point winning margin. At home, they are a perfect 2-0 SU with 20.5-point winning margin. The Jets have shown they can score points and defend exceptionally well too. They are outscoring opponents by a 10.8-point average. That said they are 2-3 in O/U betting, largely down to totals set too high and opponents that are struggling to score. The Patriots won’t have such a problem here one would think given how well Tom Brady is playing right now, leading the league with the highest passer rating and throwing TDs with abandon.

Steelers vs. Chiefs
The Steelers and Chiefs collide in week 7 NFL betting at Arrowhead with the hosts looking to stem a negative slide. The Chiefs are struggling on both sides of the ball, mainly they can’t seem to find the end zone. It’s still not clear whether Big Ben will start the game so most sportsbooks aren’t offering any NFL odds on this game yet. That said, early NFL betting lines opened on 44.5 points and a few books are offering 45.5-points right now. We’re leaning towards a low-scoring affair so we’re taking the UNDER 45.5.

NFL Picks: UNDER 45.5 (-110)

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837087, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Buccaneers vs. Redskins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 3-2 in O/U betting averaging 22 points scored per game and conceding 29 points per game. The Redskins boast a 2-4 OVER record and are 19.5-points scored per game and conceding 23 points per game. By all indications, this game has a strong lean towards the UNDER on our NFL picks.

NFL Picks: UNDER 43 (-110) at Bovada

Raiders vs. Chargers
The Chargers and Raiders collide in an intriguing AFC West clash. The Chargers are 2-4 in O/U betting while the Raiders are 3-2 in O/U betting. Chargers are averaging 22.67 points scored per game and conceding 26.83 points per game. Raiders are averaging 21.4 points per game while conceding 24.8 points per game. The popular 47-point total trading at most sportsbooks does look appropriate by those stats, but it’s a tossup whether this game will crack the 47 point total or come just UNDER. We’re leaning towards the OVER ever so slightly, but don’t go betting the farm on this NFL pick. The best NFL odds we found were with 5Dimes where the total is trading at 46.5-points.

NFL Picks: OVER 46.5 (-110) at 5Dimes

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837091, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Cowboys vs. Giants
The Cowboys and Giants are set to reprise their NFC East clash of week 1 that the Cowboys carelessly lost in the dying minutes of the game 27-26 all while cracking the 52-point total. The total is set to 45-points at most sportsbooks for the rematch between this pair. Predictably, the public is leaning heavily towards the OVER. Since Tony Romo’s injury, the Cowboys are just 1-3 in O/U betting. The G-Men, meanwhile, are 3-3 in O/U betting this season, but coming off a lacklustre 27-7 loss to the Eagles. We’re leaning towards the OVER on our NFL picks largely because we expect a much better offensive performance from Eli Manning this week.

NFL Picks: OVER 45 (-110) at Westgate

Eagles vs. Panthers
The Eagles and Panthers collide on Sunday Night Football betting. The Eagles were expected to be an offensive force this season, but contrary to those expectations they aren’t churning out points. They have a 1-5 OVER record going into week 6. The Panthers, meanwhile, are 3-1-1 in O/U betting and coming off a big win in Seattle. The 46-point total is one of the lowest totals trading on an Eagles game this season, which has us liking the OVER. Eagles are averaging 24 points scored while the Panthers are averaging 27 points scored per game.

NFL Picks: OVER 46 (-110) at bet365

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2837093, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

Ravens vs. Cardinals
The Ravens ae 1-5 SU and 0-5-1 ATS with a 3.2-point losing margin. In O/U betting they are 4-2 this season, which includes a run of two straight OVERs cashing. The Ravens are scoring 23.8 points per game and conceding 27-points per game on average. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 5-1 in O/U betting, cashing on the UNDER for the first time last week behind their worst offensive account in a 25-13 loss to the Steelers. At home the Cardinals are 3-0 in O/U betting with a 16.7-point winning margin.

NFL Picks: OVER 48 (-110) at BetOnline
