Week 5 was filled with plenty of touchdowns and injuries, and with both in mind, Week 6 of the NFL season should have some nice NFL Odds values. Here are some games you might want to keep an eye on, and potentially add early in the week to your NFL Picks.
Colts vs. Texans
The Colts continued their dominance of the early part of the season as they beat the Ravens. Their defense showed up big time, and now they get another shot at a divisional win this week. The short week will probably limit both teams in some way, and with the NFL Odds favoring the Colts at -2 ½, I would not be surprised to see a late flow of NFL picks cause this line to increase before kick off.
Broncos vs. Jets
The Jets may be one of the worst teams in football, and after getting blanked by the Chargers, they have to travel back home to welcome in the defending AFC champs. The NFL Odds are somewhat suspect with the Broncos only favored by -7 on the road, and even with the injury to Montee Ball, the Broncos should dominate this game. I would definitely recommend Denver on the road this week at their current price.
Packers vs. Dolphins
Both of these teams are coming off of longer rest. With the Packers playing this past Thursday, and the Dolphins coming off a bye, both teams should be close to full strength. The NFL Odds have the Packers as -3 ½ road favorites with a total of 48 points. Miami is a mystery this season, and while I doubt they have any real value here, the Packers have still played more bad games than good this season.
Steelers vs. Browns
On paper this game might not be that appealing, however with both teams trending in opposite directions, it might be a better game than some are projecting. The Steelers escaped last week with a win despite needing all four quarters to dispose of the Jaguars, and the Browns had their biggest comeback in franchise history against the Titans. The NFL Odds for this game favor the Browns slightly at -1 or -2, and by all means this should be a very close and hard-fought AFC North game.
Chargers vs. Raiders
The Raiders are under a new head coach, and after their bye week, they welcome in the Chargers. San Diego has been playing outstanding so far this season, and despite an injured running game, Phillip Rivers is still acting like a top five quarterback. The NFL Odds favor the Chargers by only a touchdown this week in Oakland, and if the Raiders are still struggling without Dennis Allen, the Chargers should run away with this one.
Bears vs. Falcons
If you like offense, this Sunday’s Bears and Falcons game is for you. The NFL Odds are favoring the Falcons by three points, with a total of 53 ½, which is by far the largest total that the online sportsbooks have released as of Monday morning. The Bears have absolutely collapsed in the second halves of two straight games, and going into Atlanta may not help that.
Giants vs. Eagles
The Cowboys may be 4-1, but the Eagles are 4-1 as well, and the Giants are 3-2 and still well in the hunt. These two teams kick off Sunday Night Football this week, and the opening NFL Odds have the Eagles as -2 ½ favorites with a total of 50 points. With the Cowboys in Seattle this week, the Eagles could find themselves in first place in the division with a win here.
