Join us as we breakdown week 2 NFL betting matchups against the corresponding totals trading and serve up choice over-under NFL picks for each and every game.

*Week 1 NFL Betting Recap:
After a thrilling week 1 of NFL betting, we emerged with a 13-3 record on our ATS picks, 11-5 record on our SU NFL picks and 9-7 record with our total NFL picks. Incidentally, the OVER edged the UNDER 9-7 across sports betting platforms as well.

All in all, we had a good week for our total predictions. And with that in mind, we get started on the slate for week 2 and our game-by-game NFL picks for the totals.

Live Week 2 NFL Betting Odds

*Broncos vs. Chiefs O/U 42* WINNER
Peyton Manning and his O-line are taking a lot of flak for their rather underwhelming account in week 1 against the Ravens. Manning’s numbers were an unadulterated 24-of-40 for 175 yards and 1 interception, with ZERO touchdown passes. It was a performance so unlike Manning that it prompts another rousing debate about his steady decline across NFL panels. More immediately, it sends the Broncos into their divisional clash with the Chiefs as the decisive underdogs across the board. That they own the Chiefs 6-0 SU in the last six meetings seems to be a moot point. It’s also ushered in the lowest total for this rivalry in a couple of years – the last four meetings were set to the tune of 49 points or higher.

As it is, it’s trading on a low of 42-points after opening around 45-points in early NFL betting markets. It’s worth pointing out a couple of things a) it’s only the second week of the NFL and Manning is working with a new head coach Gary Kubiak, so some allowances should be made for the rather unusual start; and b) Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs looked very good in their 27-20 win over the Texans, which included three TD passes by the veteran quarterback. Combining those two facts, we’re leaning towards the OVER 42 on our NFL picks.
NFL Picks: OVER 42 (-110) at 5Dimes

Cardinals vs. Bears O/U 44.5
Carson Palmer enjoyed a standout game in his first appearance since coming of an ACL injury, throwing three touchdown passes in a 31-19 win over the Saints. Bears, meanwhile, started brightly against the Green Bay Packers only to succumb to the inevitable 31-23 loss. Nevertheless, there were plenty of positives for John Fox and his team to work off of for the coming weeks. Jay Cutler struggled at times, but he had some good moments and Matt Forte was a dynamic on the run.
NFL Picks: OVER 44.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Falcons vs. Giants O/U 50.5
The Falcons are coming off a shootout 26-24 win over the Eagles, cashing on the UNDER 55. Similarly, the Giants are coming off a shootout 27-26 loss to the Cowboys that cashed on the OVER 51.5. Both these sides can put up the points in a hurry so it’s no surprise that the total is currently at 51-points on the NFL odds board. Curiously, consensus NFL betting reveals a lean towards the UNDER at the moment. We’re fading the public and shading the OVER 51 on our NFL picks.
NFL Picks: OVER 50.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Lions vs. Vikings O/U 43
The Vikings were embarrassed by the Niners on Monday Night Football. Held to just a field-goal over 60 minutes, it was the worst performance by Teddy Bridgewater yet and the Vikings combined. The Vikings will be determined to put in a much better account in week 2 NFL betting when they open the season at home before their loyal fans, but in Detroit Lions they’ll face stiff opposition. The Lions also have something to prove after losing a big lead to the Chargers in week 1 NFL betting.
NFL Picks: OVER 43 (-110) at BetOnline

Texans vs. Panthers O/U 40.5
The clash between the Texans and Panthers is proving one of the toughest to predict in more ways than one, mainly because of the quarterback controversy that is taking shape in Houston between initial starter Brian Hoyer and backup Ryan Mallet. Overall, however, the Texans were rather underwhelming for most of the game. They’ll need to be better in week 2 if they hope to give Cam Newton and the Panthers a run for their money. Newton and the Panthers are coming off a comfortable 20-9 win over the Jaguars. This is one of the lower totals on the NFL odds board, which has us leaning towards the OVER 40.5 as a result.
NFL Picks: OVER 40.5 (-110) at 5Dimes

Patriots vs. Bills O/U 45
The Bills routed the Colts 27-14 to mastermind one of the biggest upsets of the opening week 1, while the Patriots kicked off their Super Bowl defense with a composed 28-21 win over the Steelers, gaining a measure of vindication for all the deflate-gate nonsense that has needlessly occupied the headlines for more than seven months. The last time the Bills and the Patriots collided, the Bills won and held the Patriots to a 17-9 loss at Gillette Stadium. It was the last game of the season and the Patriots had already sewn up the AFC top seed, so the win has to be taken with some reservations. Reality is the Patriots are 7-1 SU in the last eight games with the Bills and the total has gone OVER in six of their last eight meetings.
NFL Picks: OVER 45 (-110) at BetOnline

Chargers vs. Bengals O/U 45.5
The Chargers and Bengals collide in week 2 NFL betting, both coming off big wins in week 1 NFL betting in which both sides put up 33 points apiece. Based on those individual accounts, the instinctive leaning here is to go OVER 45.5 on our NFL picks.
NFL Picks: OVER 45.5 (-110) at 5Dimes

Niners vs.Steelers O/U 45
If the Niners defense is anywhere nearly as dominant as it was in week 1 NFL over the Vikings, the Steelers will have their work cut out for them and Big Ben could be having more fits than TD passes. Speaking of the Steelers, their offense has left much to be desired during the preseason and week 1 while their defense has yet to make its presence felt.
NFL Picks: UNDER 45 (-110) at BetOnline

Rams vs. Redskins O/U 41.5
The St. Louis Rams masterminded a huge upset over the Seattle Seahawks in week 1 NFL betting, beating the 2013 Super Bowl Champions 34-31 in OT. They must be feeling good about themselves and their chances against a Redskins’ outfit that struggled against the Miami Dolphins in a 17-10 loss.
NFL Picks: UNDER 41.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Bucs vs. Saints O/U 47.5
The Bucs were shown up by the Titans in week 1 NFL betting, suffering the most lopsided loss of the entire day’s card last week. Jameis Winston clearly has a long way to go, as do the Bucs as a whole. Drew Brees and the Saints struggled against the Arizona Cardinals last weekend, losing 31-19. Against the unassuming Bucs, however, they must fancy their chances to get their offense clicking at a fast pace.
NFL Picks: UNDER 47.5 (-111) at Bet365

Titans vs. Browns O/U 41.5
Marcus Mariota and the Titans rode roughshod over the Bucs in week 2 NFL betting. They should have a tougher time of it against a better Cleveland defense (better than the Bucs, but in no way great). The jury is out on the Cleveland Browns after a 31-10 loss to the NY Jets on the road. Johnny Manziel was subpar at best for most of the game, extending his poor run of form as an NFL starter into the new season.
NFL Picks: UNDER 41.5 (-110) at BetOnline

Ravens vs. Raiders O/U 42.0
Both the Ravens and Raiders came away in week 1 losers. More concerning though were the injuries they suffered. Ravens have lost Suggs for the season while Derek Carr remains touch and go with a hand injury. It remains to be seen whether the young quarterback will start in week 2 NFL betting. That said, the UNDER has cashed in five of the last six games when the Raiders have hosted the Ravens in Oakland.
NFL Picks: UNDER 42.0 at Bet365

Dolphins vs. Jaguars O/U 41.5
The Dolphins and Jaguars collide in week 2 NFL betting for a game that is cornered wholeheartedly in the visitors’ camp. After week 1 NFL betting, the Jaguars were shown up by the Panthers at home in a 20-9 loss. Against a Panthers defense, the Jaguars O-line struggled to get any offense going. They probably won’t fare much better against a Dolphins defense that figures to be one of the best this season by all accounts.
NFL Picks: UNDER 41.5 (-110) at Bet365

Cowboys vs. Eagles O/U 55
The Eagles lost 26-24 to the Falcons in a game that failed to crack the 55-point total trading. That said it took the first half for Sam Bradford and the Eagles to settle in and they were the better team in the second half, erasing a 17-point deficit to give the Falcons a run for their money. They could have won the game never mind had they not botched a field-goal. Cowboys, meanwhile, beat the Giants 27-26 in a game that just cracked the 51.5-point total. There is no doubt that both these offenses can put up the points in a hurry so our inclination for our NFL picks is the OVER 55.
NFL Picks: OVER 55 (-110) at 5Dimes

Seahawks vs. Packers O/U 48.5
The Packers and Seahawks reprise their NFC Championship clash in week 2 NFL betting, the only difference is the Packers will be hosting the game at Lambeau field. The Packers went 13-6 OVER-UNDER last season through the regular season and postseason included while Seattle went 12-8-0 OVER-UNDER through the regular season and all the way to Super Bowl 49. The OVER has cashed in four of the last five games between Seattle and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau.
NFL Picks: OVER 48.5 (-110) at Bet365

Jets vs. Colts O/U 47
The Colts were embarrassed by the Buffalo Bills in week 1 NFL betting and Andrew Luck and the O-line are going to want to set the record straight at Lucas Oil Stadium against another AFC East opponent on Monday Night Football. Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets are after a workman-like win over the hapless Cleveland Browns in week 1 NFL betting. The Jets have plenty of offensive weapons and their defense is quite solid too. This game could turn into a shootout against a Colts defense that was found wanting in week 1 in Buffalo.
NFL Picks: OVER 47 (-110) at Bet365
