Josh Gordon has a touchdown price of +105, and for a guy who has been killing opposing corners all season, this is incredible value against the Jets this week. Not only has Gordon been on fire recently, but the Jets’ pass defense has been anything but consistent this season. The Jets give up the 6th most TDs to opposing WRs this season with 16, and I see at least one more coming from Gordon in this game.
Granted, Jason Campbell was not on his game last week against the Bears, however the wind, and the still effective Bears secondary were two of the main reasons for this. In the confines of MetLife Stadium this week, I think Campbell and Gordon renew their relationship in the end zone.
Gordon has six touchdowns in the Browns’ last five consecutive games, and he has scored in six of the Browns last seven games. He has a total of nine touchdowns on the season, and with the exception of Calvin Johnson, I can’t think of another receiver who has better TD odds every week. To think that Bet365 has him at +105 from his team’s performance last week is crazy, and you should take advantage. One bad week is not enough to push Gordon above even money.
My Pick: Josh Gordon TD Scored (+105)
Another receiver that has a great price in the NFL Odds this week is Mike Wallace. His Dolphins are playing in Buffalo this week, and much like Gordon, I don’t see how Wallace doesn’t score against this horrible secondary. Bet365 has Wallace’s touchdown price set at +163, which is great value for a guy who scored last week, and has scored in three of the Dolphins’ last four games.
The Bills have given up 18 touchdowns this season to opposing WR, which ranks them 2nd most in the NFL, tied with the Packers, and right behind the Eagles. Wallace, and the Dolphin offense in general has gotten a lot better over the last three weeks, and I see them playing well this week in Buffalo.
The weather might be a factor in this game, and if it affects anyone it’s going to be Ryan Tannehill. However, the forecast is only calling for rain, as the east coast has seen some unnatural warming this time of year. Also, it appears as if the rain is going to subside just a little by the time the game starts, so even though the field will be muddy and wet, it will be just as muddy and wet for the corners, as it is for the WRs. I could easily see a guy slip trying to cover Wallace, (probably the fastest guy in the NFL) and the rest will be up to him catching the ball. Look at Wallace for some more TD value in the Week 16 NFL Odds.My Pick: Mike Wallace TD Scored (+163)
