We finished the tease betting season in 2012 with a winning record with our NFL Picks, and now it’s time to try and build on where we left off from last season.

NFL Week 1 Teaser Picks

I have three, two-team teasers for Week 1 that seem extra valuable, and all of them payout as a straight -110 bet for your NFL Picks

6-point teaser-Bucs +3 & Panthers +9 ½

The Bucs move from being three point favorites to three point underdogs on the road against the Jets this week, which is a much safer bet than laying the points with them on the road. The Jets are awful and will be starting a rookie quarterback in Week 1, and the Bucs have a very improved defense from last season, even if Geno Smith gets himself going in this game.

The Panthers are playing host to the Seahawks and already I think this will be a very close game, and 9 ½ should be plenty. I already have a pick on the Panthers at +3 ½, so naturally I feel good about giving them almost ten points to a team that they could beat outright. While it’s not likely, the Panthers did play this team to four points last season from Carolina just under a year ago.

6-points teaser- Cardinals +10 ½ & Packers +10 ½

This is probably my favorite two-team combination for Week 1, and especially for the Cardinals, it should be no problem covering +10 ½ on the road against the Rams. The Cards have covered three of their last five games in St. Louis, and even though they have lost their last two in a row against them both SU and ATS, this is the new regime. Going into St. Louis who lost 50% of their offense from last season, and the team that struggles the least may be the team with the new coach.

The Packers have the tougher assignment of going on the road in San Francisco, but either way, I think they too can handle getting spotted +10 ½ on the NFL odds boards. Even though I am not as bullish on them as a single game pick, teased up with another undervalued team and you have yourself a nice teaser combination. Green Bay is already 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight trips to San Francisco.

6-point teaser- Giants +9 ½ & Texans +2 ½

I already am on record saying I think the Giants are undervalued here on Sunday night, and adding six points is just adding to how much I like them. The Giants have owned the Cowboys in Dallas recently, winning five of the last six matchups. The Cowboys have also been awful at home, going 1-10 ATS in their last 11 home games. Look for Dallas’ defense to have trouble with the Giants’ offense in this game, and also look for the Giants to cover +9 ½ as the first part of this teaser.
