NFL Divisional Round Playoff Predictions
NFL Saturday Picks
Line: Broncos -9, Over/Under 46
Kickoff: January 12, 4:30 PM EST
The Ravens are playing this contest on the road, where they have covered the point spread just three times all season. On the other hand, the Broncos were dominant against the spread this year, including a sensational 6-2 ATS record at home.
That said the Ravens are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 playoff games played on the road, but only 1-5 ATS in their last six divisional playoff matchups.
Denver is 6-1 ATS in their last seven playoff games played at home and 9-2 in their last eleven games played on a Saturday.
Peyton Manning and his second best offense in the NFL will be too much for the Ravens to sustain for four quarters. The Broncos will win this game and cover the NFL betting lines, which will ultimately put an end to the Ravens season and Ray Lewis’ career.
Broncos -9 vs. 5Dimes
Line: 49ers -3, Over/Under 44 1/2
Kickoff: January 12, 8:00 PM EST
A great Packers offense, who scores an average of 27.1 point per game (5th) goes up against an even better 49ers defense, who holds opponents to 17 points per contest (2nd) in this classic NFC showdown in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
Green Bay is 5-1 against the NFL odds in their last six playoff games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, San Francisco is 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 games played at home and 23-11-1 in their last 35 games overall. However, they are only 3-7 ATS in their last ten versus NFC opponents.
I like the momentum the Packers will bring into this game after last week’s win to defeat the 49ers, who might be a little flat after playing with a full weeks rest.
Packers +3 vs. 5Dimes
NFL Sunday Picks
Line: Falcons -2 ½, Over/Under 46
Kickoff: January 13, 1:00 PM EST
The Seahawks produced an 11-5 ATS record this season, but only 4-4 when playing on the road. Atlanta has had the reverse effect, as they were 9-6-1 against the spread overall, but just 4-4 ATS at home.
However, the Seahawks have covered the point spread in seven straight contests versus a team with a winning record and five of their last six overall.
Atlanta has failed to cover the point spread in four straight playoff games, but they are 3-0-1 in their last four games when facing a team with a winning record.
Atlanta’s regular season record is a bit deceiving, as they were involved in many close games that could have easily gone the other way. I also like that Seattle keeps finding ways to win. And they will do it once again this week to advance to the next round, while Atlanta’s season comes to an abrupt end.
Seahawks +2 ½ vs. 5Dimes
Line: Patriots -9, Over/Under 47 1/2
Kickoff: January 13, 1:00 PM EST
My selection on this contest will be focused on the total, which is currently set at 47 ½ points.
The Texans have stayed under the posted total in four straight games overall and seven of their last ten played on the road.
New England has gone over the posted total in 21 of their last 29 games played at home, 39 of their last 51 overall and six of their last seven played in the month of January.
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will light up the scoreboard all game long against the Texans en route to what will turn out to be a high scoring affair.
