The Seahawks picked up their first loss of the season in Week 5, but should bounce back this week at home against the Titans.

Odds Overview

So what that the Titans have a winning record? The Seahawks are a different animal at home, which is why they're favored by almost two touchdowns here in Week 6. Seattle is 4-1 ATS on the season, with Tennessee at 3-1-1 ATS.

A total of 40.5 has been posted by oddsmakers, and so far the OVER has gone 3-2 for both teams through the first five weeks.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans had their chances against the Chiefs last week, but ultimately they couldn't make enough plays when it mattered most. In the end Tennessee would lose 26-17, moving them to 3-2 on the season.

It was a disappointing way to fall short, since the Titans were leading 17-13 until about six minutes to go in the fourth and final quarter. However, Jamaal Charles found pay-dirt and Ryan Succop added two field goals to seal the deal for KC.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, taking over for an injured Jake Locker, was decent, completing 21-of-41 passes for 247 yards and one touchdown, while rushing six times for 50 yards and another score. He was picked off twice and sacked three times.

After Week 5, the Titans are ranked #13 in rushing (116.8 YPG) and #26 in passing (201.2 YPG). Defensively, they've been better, as you can find them at #9 in defending the pass (218.0 YPG) and #14 in stopping the run (103.2 YPG).

But statistics tend to go out the window whenever you're playing in a deafening environment like the one at CenturyLink Field. Tennessee is really going to have to bring their A game this weekend.

Seattle Seahawks

After losing a heart-breaker to Indianapolis, it remains to be seen how the Seahawks can respond. You'd have to think it will be the right way, given how good of a coach Pete Carroll is.

Seattle fell 34-28 to the Colts after holding a five-point lead after three quarters. The Seahawks' menacing defense actually let them down in the loss, meaning they'll be after blood when Fitzpatrick and the Titans come to town.

On the offensive side, Russell Wilson was terrific. He had 210 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air and then ran for 102 more yards on the ground. Wilson extended countless plays and ran the offensive extremely well overall.

It wasn't enough though, as Seattle was condemned to their first losing experience of the year.

Returning home is exactly what the Seahawks needed at this juncture. In two games at CenturyLink Field this season, they've outscored their opponents 74-20, which includes that dominating 29-3 win over the 49ers.

Week 6 Pick

We realize this is a heck of a lot of points to lay, but we do like the Seahawks to win big and cover against the Titans.

Truth is, we have little confidence in Fitzpatrick's ability to make plays like Locker could, and you certainly need that against a defense like Seattle. The Seahawks have been chomping at the bit to get back at home after consecutive road games, especially after losing a game they should have won last weekend.

Seattle's defense had trouble containing Andrew Luck (and especially T.Y. Hilton), but we think they'll be able to corral Tennessee here for our NFL picks. With a raucous crowd behind them every step of the way, look for the Seahawks to earn another cover and move to 5-1 ATS on the year.
