The Eagles have hit a two-game skid, but we fully expect them to right the ship and have little trouble overpowering the Redskins despite being on the road. Check out our NFL odds preview inside.

Odds Overview
Despite being on the road against a division rival, oddsmakers are expecting a comfortable win for the Eagles, and they've backed that intent up by pricing out the road team as 8-point favorites in NFL odds. Some sites even have 8.5 available, for those willing to take on the risk that naturally comes with backing the Redskins.

We always know we'll see a pretty high total whenever Philadelphia's involved, and it's no different for Week 16. The O/U is trading at 51 points for now.

Washington Redskins
It just gets worse and worse each week with these Redskins. They haven't won since Week 8 and now sit at a dreadful 3-11 overall this season.

Washington's sixth straight loss came against the Giants this past weekend. The Redskins actually out-gained New York in total yardage, but were unable to convert in the red zone by making the most of their opportunities. Their lone touchdown came on a nine-yard pass from Robert Griffin III to Chris Thompson.

RGIII was 18-of-27 for 236 yards and a touchdown and he added five rushes for 46 yards. Alfred Morris gained only 49 rushing yards on 14 carries, while Andre Roberts led the team in receiving with 81 yards on only two catches. Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed were all held in check.

This Washington team appears to be in a toxic state right now, so we're going to stay far away when it comes to placing our NFL picks. We've seen some good things from the Redskins at time, but they've been far too unreliable and have been prone to far more letdowns than any type of success.

Philadelphia Eagles
Two setbacks in a row have put the Eagles in a precarious position with only a couple weeks left in the regular season.

Sitting pretty at 9-3 not long ago, Philadelphia has lost to Seattle and Dallas over the last two weekends, with both defeats coming at home no less. It's been a tough time for the Eagles, though one could argue the perfect tonic is coming up on Saturday: a meeting with a team that just can't put anything good together right now.

Against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, the Eagles had trouble stopping Tony Romo and Dez Bryant linking up throughout. The wideout finished with three touchdowns on his own, and it didn't help that QB Mark Sanchez had an off night -- he ended up with zero touchdownsand two picks, as Philadelphia turned the ball over four times in all.

We're not going to over-react to these two straight losses, however. Yes, it's painful to lose at home, especially with the playoffs on the line, but the Eagles still have a chance to reach the postseason and the defeats came against two of the better teams in the NFL. We imagine they'll be able to get back on the winning track without much resistance.

NFL Pick
Sure it's a high number, but the Eagles deserved to be favored by such a margin, and we can't imagine going any other direction than to lay the chalk. This Philadelphia team has had little trouble piling up the points (the Eagles won 37-34 in the earlier meeting this season), and the Redskins have been far from stout defensively recently.

Philadelphia is still right in the thick of the playoff race and will be itching to redeem themselves after consecutive losses. This sets up as a great spot for Chip Kelly's crew to use the dysfunctional Redskins as a punching bag.

So, as we get set to enjoy two rare games on Saturday, we believe it'll be in our best interests to side with Philadelphia as the heavy favorites. Enjoy the game!
