Swinger went 2-1-1 in his NFL picks last week and now sees several opportunities to cash in this week’s slate. Let’s get down to business and review the NFL odds for Week 7.

2015 NFL Record (12-11-1 ATS)
Last week we had four plays and connected with the Vikings over the Chiefs as well as the underdog Houston Texans who delivered not only an ATS cover but an outright winner with a 31-20 thumping of the Jaguars on the highway.

In addition, the Lions finally broke out of their offensive funk last week in a 37-34 shootout over the Bears yet the NFL odds makers hit it right on the nose when they made Detroit a three-point favorite in that contest giving us our first push of the season.

Lastly, our only ATS loss just happened to be a total – surprise, surprise! Yes, the Steelers and Cardinals combined for 38 points and fell far short of the 45 total as our woes with totals continue. Let’s see what Week 7 holds.

Bucs +3 ½ vs. Redskins
The verdict is still out on Jameis Winston but his upside is enormous if he can harness his talent, avoid making costly mistakes and be patient in his progression cycle. After two weeks of rest the Bucs should come into this one refreshed and with a sense of purpose knowing full well this is a winnable road game.

The Redskins are in shambles on so many levels. Their offensive line as well as their defensive secondary has been injured and many believe neither was all that great to begin with which makes them susceptible to a very good Tampa Bay sack attack, currently ranked 8th in the league. Meanwhile Jameis Winston should have no problem connecting against a patchwork Washington secondary that will grant plenty of open space for the Bucs’ receivers to roam.

Oh, and the Redskins’ premier receiver DeSean Jackson will most likely be out again if that even means anything anymore. The Bucs aren’t great but they’re better than the ‘Skins…even at home. Here some stats to consider.

Redskins are 0-4 ATS in their last four games as a favorite.

Redskins are 5-24-2 ATS in their last 31 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Redskins are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Buccaneers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.

Buccaneers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

NFL Pick: Play the Bucs +3 ½ at JustBet

Total (44 ½) – Vikings vs. Lions
The Vikings don’t score many points as evidenced by their 29th ranked scoring offense and dead last passing attack – perhaps attack is too strong a word, mild affront maybe. But they do run the ball well because they have Adrian Peterson, the most feared rusher in the game, carrying the rock. Defensively they rank 2nd in the league in points allowed with opponents averaging a mere 16.6 points per game.

The Lions put up beaucoup numbers last week as Matthew Stafford shredded the Bears with four touchdowns and 405 passing yards. But that was their biggest offensive explosion of the season and it’s not coincidental that it happened against the lowly Chicago Bears defense. Bottom line here is that while Adrian Peterson is chewing up yards the clock will be chewing up time. Take this one low in your NFL picks for Week 7 folks. Here are some stats to consider.

-Under is 5-0 in Lions last five games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.
-Under is 6-0 in Vikings last six games overall.
-Under is 6-0 in Vikings last six vs. NFC North.
-Under is 4-0 in Vikings last four games following a ATS win.

NFL Pick: Play Under 44 ½ at Heritage

Woodman’s Corner (4-2 ATS)
The Woodman not only picked an ATS winner with Carolina last week but delivered an outright winner as the Panthers shocked the Seahawks 27-23 in Seattle. This week he peers into his crystal ball and finds the Cleveland Browns striking his fancy as they travel to St. Louis to take on the Rams. Brownies anyone?

NFL Pick: Play the Browns +6 at GTBets
