NFL Week 8 rolls in with a whole slew of matchups to spot. And we are on a mission to find the best winning bets of the lot. Check out what we have come up with and where the value is to be had.

San Francisco 49ers -14.5 @ Jacksonville Jaguars +14.5

Analysis: London is calling. San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars are slated to collide at Wembley, in another instalment of European NFL action that has become a regular staple on the NFL schedule. What can football bettors expect from this one but a Kaepernick-49ers showdown, really? Certainly, sportsbooks are confident that will be the case. And can you blame them? ZERO wins in seven laps around the league – now 21 of their last 23 games lost – the Jaguars can call it a day. Their season is well and truly over. It’s kind of nice they get a little vacay halfway through the season, don’t you think; nothing like contemplating life in NFL under the shadow of Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. This game couldn’t be more straightforward, San Francisco is the sports pick across the board.

Cleveland Browns + 8.0 @ Kansas City Chiefs -8.0

Analysis: Cleveland Browns are set to debut yet another quarterback this week when Jason Campbell takes over from Brandon Weeden. It remains to be seen whether this will be a marked improvement on offense over the course of the season. As far as this game goes however, the mismatch between an untried quarterback on the road against one of the most dominant defenses in the league, it’s understandable why sportsbooks are tipping this game in favour of Kansas City by a healthy 8-points. It could very well end up in a blowout really given the quarterback revolving door in Cleveland. Then again aren’t the Chiefs being a little overrated here by the betting lines?  Let’s not forget the Browns defense is not bad, they are second in fewest yards allowed per play. If Campbell can keep his nerves together and avoid turnovers and interceptions, this game could be closer than the football odds suggest. In fact, we like the Browns to surprise here and that’s why they are our value pick to keep the score close and cover.

Washington Redskins +11.5 @ Denver Broncos -11.5

Indianapolis Colts finally got one over the Denver Broncos this season but it matters little really in the broad spectrum of things and it’s time to move on people. Broncos have been sublime overall, Manning clinical. Exclamation point.

It should be another comprehensive performance against the Washington Redskins this week. Broncos are massive -600 NFL odds favourites to win straight up and they are the 11.5-point faves on the spread. Both these football picks would be considered good picks in our books.

That said, the value NFL pick in this game has to be the totals where the Over/Under is listed at a paltry 58. If you were to do a bit of maths, add up the totals for all Broncos’ games you’d get an average of total score of 70 per game. Moreover, only two games went under 60 while five went over 60 and four went over 70. So unless, RG III doesn’t hold up his end of the bargain, this game should go Over easily, right?
